Before the season started I thought that Lillard's assists would go up because of the added weapons, but his assists seem to be going down. He's the best pure scorer on our team though. Would you move Lillard to a Dwyane Wade role and have someone else play point guard? Maybe see if Denver would trade Miller back to us? Wes is clearly the weakest link right now. He played like crap in the preseason and it has carried over to the regular season. If Wes did anything tonight, we would have been in this game. He went 0-3 for 4 points in 26 minutes. He was basically a ghost.
Lillard is a guard. We need at least one other player on the floor who can handle the ball. What Phoenix is doing with Bledsoe and Dragic is the latest fad. But I like that style. Wes can not create....period.
I like the CJ/Damian combo. That's the future backcourt. Though, I think we'd need a pass-first PG coming off the bench. Williams is redundant with CJ and Damian. Sergio, anyone?
You may want to point the finger at Lopez and Mo Williams, who both were just awful in their Blazer debut. Lopez had 2 rebounds in 34 minutes; Plumlee had 15 in 40. Yikes.
No. He's a scoring PG. And he shoots as much as he does because most of his teammates either suck or don't wanna shoot (SMH, Nic) Let's not complicate things.
This isn't a thread to point fingers. This is a thread about Lillard. I'm just wondering if he should be a shooting guard. I remember the Heat tried to use Wade as a point guard when he first came into the league too.
OMG. That's just scary to contemplate. Wow. I thought we were getting an up and comer in Lopez. Hickson had 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks tonight. Wes had more assists than Lillard. Wes wasn't the problem tonight. He was our third leading scorer! SMH....
You are correct. Wade was PG his rookie year. He gradually became a SG cuz he was their best scorer. I think Lillard is a Wade level talent. We'll see what happens.
