With Hickson gone I wonder who will be the scapegoat this season.

Dorell Wright had almost the same PER 36 averages as Batum's regular averages last year :dunno:

IF Batum's not the 3rd piece he's just a role player to Lillard and Aldridge. At $11M per year, he needs to be more than a role player. And with the lack of scorers on this team, there's no reason for Batum not to average 15ppg.

I'd like to see Batum get to 17pts/7reb.

Lopez or probably Nic ... then again LaMarcus when he demands a trade in February is also a strong contender.

Obviously not true and this brings nothing to the discussion.

Aldridge and Batum. No matter what they do it will never be good enough. Lopez is a good dark horse though. He's the new guy, replaced Hickson, and is not a stat filler.

    But ultimately, I think Stotts.

Batum never had a stretch as dominant as Miles. It didn't work out for Darius in the long term but he was a much better player at his peak.

No way dude, after that first game it was like a buckshot blast in all directions. I think everyone got a little bit of the blame that night. Stotts, Dame for not passing, Aldridge for not rebounding, Lopez for being ineffective, Mo for just sucking overall.... I think it's too early to pick a firm scapegoat.

Lopez having a history of being a bad rebounder isn't good. No one likes a 7ft center than can't rebound.

That said, Lopez is too Portland to be the scapegoat. Fans love the hair and the weirdness.

Don't be modest. What did you say after his trip dub last year?

Why wasn't it a quadruple double?

Or his two trip dubs in a week, is more accurate.

    Woah, woah, woah...

Last year Batum was better than Miles ever was.

Jesus, this place cracks me up. "Pissed," lol!

If JJ's comments sounded genuinely pissed to any of you, I'd love to hear how you'd describe Dez Bryant's little show, lol...

Dame had 14 assist opportunities in Game 1 - at some point, you have to rely on your teammates, and they mostly failed.

That doesn't change the fact that people blamed him. Any other fanbase would have been thrilled with a 32 point, 50% shooting outing from their star.
