I'm going to say it's Jamaal Magloire, easily. 13.6 ppg and 10.3 rpg just arent all star game numbers. They were obviously low on Centers in the East, or else he never would have made it. He isnt even considered a top 10 or 12 C in the League anymore.Rashard Lewis and Rasheed Wallace I werent all star calibre players also.
Oh please, people overexagerate about Sheed not being all-star game worthy. He had a great season, I thought he was very deserving.

They go by just forwards so there are alot of other players as well that deserved it over him IMO. It is the fact that he is a Detroit Piston and that they did so freakishly well before the All-Star break. I dont like the fact that there were 4 pistons but hey, was is done is done.
^ Yeah obviously, except if he played on the Bobcats, he wouldn't have those numbers...Can't always look fully at numbers. He's on the Pistons, which doesn't give him much of an oppertunity to put up huge numbers, because they're such a team oriented club, but he was solid all year long, and he put up good stats all around the board. Howard didn't have a better year and Jamison/Webber may have put up a little better numbers stat-wise, but they weren't really substantial enough. It could have gone either way for that last spot, but Sheed in no way wasn't worthy of it imo.

In the first half of the season, he was leading the entire league in rebounds, and he put up the same PPG as well. The only difference between the 2 players is one has a very good team, and one has an average one. Jamison had a clearly better year than Rasheed. He put up over 20 and 10. And you can say all you want that statistics dont mean that much but that is why alot of All Star players are selected. Well, that and popularity.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I might be thinking the rookie/sophmore game. I'm not sure. H/O</div>Yeah, You are. He played pretty well though. I remember him having like 22 points with 4-5 monster dunks.

Don't forget either he had to share rebounds with arguably the best rebounder in the league. Anyways, all I'm saying is, you can't say he didn't deserve to make the team.
Who cares how many more rebounds Dwight Howard had over Rasheed Wallace. Wallace was on the most dominant/amazing team at that time and was shutting guys out defensivly. He was clearly better than Dwight Howard, you put Howard with Ben Wallace and watch his rebounds go down as well. I don't care what Howards numbers were, he played on a bad team.
Defense doesn't really matter in the ASG. I dont think they take defense into account when they are picking players that much at all. Dwight scored more, better rebounder, and also a dominant defender anyway.Being on a good team shouldnt help you in the ASG voting at all.
Magliore or Rashard Lewis, they had good seasons the years they got in but its not deserving of an all-star berth in my eyes.but hell, if they can get in on just one good season, then theres hope for Josh Howard..... :winkglasses:

The all-star team is suppose to be for the best OVERALL players. And like I said before if Sheed was in Dwight's position he would be putting up monster numbers. Being on a good team didn't help him. Sheed was simply the better player.
The judges mainly decide the All Stars by offense though. Like I said, Howard is also a great defender. It's not like you have to be a great defender to get into the ASG over better defenders. There are alot of pretty sh*t defenders on All Star Game rosters.
Jamison and Webber are HORRIBLE defenders, they just let people blow by them. And like LO said, it's an overall thing not just any offensive stud. Sheed deserved it, Howard still has loads of time to get in just like Melo.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The judges mainly decide the All Stars by offense though. Also, who are these "sh*tty defenders" that you speak of?

I think it is, especially with the talent pool of NBA centers in the past few years. But I'm just mad that Magloire never improved since then, in fact, his talent level might have dropped off a bit. I'll still agree that he's probably the worst player to make it in the past few years, but averaging 14/10 is good.
