Alot of you counted Donovan out this year because of his negging hernia injury last season, but guess what. He is looking as good as in 2004 so far. I know it's early, but he is playing incredibly well. He leads the NFL is passing yards by a good 65 yards over Peyton Manning! 3rd highest QB rating in the League at 105.3, and 2nd in TD's behind Eli with 7 in 3 weeks!Comments?
I was one of those people who doubted donovan but hes been doing great this year. He has managed his team very well and if it wasnt for some mistakes in that PHI-NYG game, the Eagles would be 3-0
Yeah man. He looks great so far. Just has the poise and maturity as usual. Loves spreading the ball around too.
Yeah, Im glad that he's getting everyone involved. He doesn't have T.O. shouting at him to give him the ball anymore. He has a good core group of targets now. Very underrated recievers, because you can basically call LJ Smith and Brian Westbrook primary targets to go along with Stallworth, Reggie Brown, Baskett, Greg Lewis, etc..
I didn't doubt Donovan McNabb, I thought he would be fine this season. He had his hernia injury last year and has had a while to recover. Not suprising to me at all.
Wasnt it SI that predicted Philly to be last in their division?McNabb keep this up, and they could do some srious damage... good to see him in top condition
I wouldn't say he is "back", Philly faced a few easy teams and he has done good they didn't win v.s N.Y because they are a avg team not that I don't want Philly to win I like them but once eh starts facing some more good teams we can talk about him being "back".

And they aren't facing a great team this week either, so whatever.

He's a great QB and has always been good even with bad recievers. I just doubted them making the playoffs and we'll see about that.

We just made a ton of stupid mistakes, like going for it on 4th & short, Trent Cole's late hit, etc..
McNabb was never gone. He just faced some unfortunate injuries last season. Around this time last season McNabb was being talked about as the front runner for the MVP. McNabb is one QB that doesn't need a Marvin Harrison or a Hines Ward to succeed. But give him a guy like that (TO, Donte Stallworth) and he is the best QB in the league. I wouldn't trade McNabb for any other QB in the league. He is a God here in Philly.
McNabb was never the best QB in the Leaguye when he had T.O. Peyton Manning was better, and you could also argue for Daunte. And I doubt he's the best QB this year with Stallworth. But yeah, he is an elite QB. He doesn't need great WR's to do well as a quarter back. Swap our WR's with the Colt's, and maybe Donovan would have more success than Peyton.

Unlike Peyton McNabb doesn't hurry the offense every damn play. The Colts will never win like that. Plus Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison for all those years? Jeez. Marvin has been a top 3 WR in the league for a while right with Moss and TO IMO. Then Wayne is another WR that could easily be Numero Uno almost anywhere else. Then he had an elite back too? And that offensive line? And the Colts still havn't got to the Superbowl?? McNabb has been to 4 NFC Title games and One Superbowl with a worse cast. Not to mention the unridiculous amoujnt of money Manning gets for a football player. He gets 30 million more than McNabb and that's for less years. Then the bonus. Uh-Oh.I'm sorry, but give me McNabb. And to the Packers fan 4th and 26.
Come on, man. Peyton is the best QB in the League. He threw 49 TD passes. He may not be great in the post-season, but Ill definately take him in the regular season over any QB int he League. The Colts have been a great team for a long time now, thanks to Peyton. Give the man credit.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Oct 1 2006, 11:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Ready for a beatdown on Monday Night Football CB4? :winkglasses:</div>You mean the Eagles beating down the Packers?
