Rebney: Alvarez doesn't lose out on a PPV bonus based on this.

How the fudge will they figure that out? "Well, we expected 50,000 buys, which would mean a $100,000 bonus..." "I expected 250,000 buys!" "Hmm..."

    WTF are they doing?

Kongo/Queiroz, Etim/Cenoble, and Parisyan/Souza all pulled from this event.

Ok, more information available now. Queiroz and Parisyan both pulled out due to injury. Souza meets featherweight Alejandro Garcia instead.

Rampage will headline Bellator 108 in November vs. Joey Beltran.

Bellator said at one point they didn't want UFC cast-off's right?

Chandler/Alvarez had an excellent, gritty fight. Made up for some not so interesting ones prior to it. Will be in the FOTY discussions.

Apparently the caveat to Alvarez's contract is that his next fight is a rematch with Chandler and after that he becomes a free agent? So says Helwani.

Sometimes plans just don't come together. On a night where Bellator was looking to build up its own stars, they all lost. To boot, Alvarez is a stud who doesn't want to be there and will leave the first opportunity he gets. I'm not rooting against Bellator as I think it's important for competition to exist in order for these athletes to get what they deserve. It's just too bad 'the biggest night in Bellator history' seems to have been a dud. Hopefully the Chandler/Alvarez fight creates enough buzz to carry over to Friday.
