Anyone as annoyed and concerned as I am? Yes, I get it..."lots of football to be played," but part of being a fan is evaluating the hypothetical and anticipating the best outcome possible. FSU is rolling through an underwhelming ACC. Oregon looks unstoppable, but Thur is our biggest test. If both teams win out...there is no guarantee that Oregon is seeded ahead of FSU. I think our best shot is to be rooting for ASU to start rolling and play a ranked ASU team in the PCG, while also hoping that whomever goes to the ACC Chump game from the Coastal division is a known lug. Great season! I just don't want to be screwed hard by the BCS...
meh... whatever. The media has to have something to talk about. If there isn't a controversy they'll make one up, especially if it means pandering to the East Coast masses. If the undefeated 4 all win out, it's going to suck for 2 of the fanbases. For once it would be nice for other schools to end up holding the short straw, and thankfully thats how most speculations run. Go Duckies! STOMP
Not only are they talking up FSU, but they're way over-hyping Winston. He's a talented guy, but he makes a lot of mistakes. He threw two INTs last night that cost his team 14 points, but he sure smacks of this years Johnny Manziel.
Winston does not have Mariota's speed, calm, or touch. That was clear last night! Two pics against us would be two touchdowns against our defense who ranks second in the nation on scoring, and with our tempo offense... They are down 28-0 in the first quarter. At that point the Noles as they've done for three decades would raise the white flag and we take home the egg! Pray we get FSU in Pasadena! I'd say they remind me of UCLA's defense and I give the edge to UCLA, with UW's offense. Neither is good enough to beat us!
Miami was extremely one-dimensional, and not worthy of the 7th ranking. It's a bummer that FSU will benefit from that, but I'm still not worried about FSU. Most of the experts that I've heard have said that we should still be #2 by the end of the year.
Oh... There is a hell of a big difference between, Clemson, Miami who's been on self induced probation for two years, and a Florida squad playing on life support with injuries and a team like Stanford, UCLA or even ASU. Not even close! I watched Clemson beat Virginia and thought damn if the Cavs even had a shred of an offensive clue as well as they played on defense that game would have been far more competitive. I stand by my statement Miami would lose by 10 to UW or UCLA, and UCLA could just beat Clemson. UCLA's defense is way better than Virginia's and the Cavs got after Taj and their backfield often in the first half. Barr, Jack, Vanderdoes and McCarthy would have made Taj look like the ACC QB he really is.
Oregon drops to #3 in this weeks BCS ranking. FSU claims #2 spot. This Thur game, against our highest ranked opponent, better not screw us.
Bye week leading into it. If UO doesn't win, they have no excuses. I expected FSU to hop to #2 this week, and I expect the Ducks to take it back for good as of Sunday.
If Oregon wins @ Stanford, they deserve #2, no questions asked. If they do not, then FSU deserves #2. Then we need to pray for Bama to lose to Auburn/LSU.
If we somehow make it to the Natty, I would like to play Bama. I think FSU would be fun to watch, but I want to beat the kings of the SEC so badly.
