Re: Roation and Minutes Uh, because they were losing and trying to get back into the game, and the bench was doing jack.
What are the odds of a consistent contribution from CJ? Love the guy, but is anyone else concerned about his ability to play injury-free from here forward after breaking the bone twice in his foot?
I agree that minutes are going to be hard to come by for CJ, but I think he could bring a different look than Mo and Dame. The ability to get a shot off without a screen. Just not sure if he has the quickness or strength to get in the lane consistently.
CJ will earn his minutes for sure. I believe by seasons end he will be getting 18 minutes a night though.
BGD would say Wes once he is traded. I wouldn't go that far but as good as he has been we know there is a issue there with him breaking down. He could stand to have less minutes. Not 18 less though of course.
Lillard (30) / Williams (10) / McCollum (6) Matthews (28) / McCollum (12) / Lillard (4) / Williams (4) Batum (34) / Wright (10) / Matthews (4) Aldridge (30) / Robinson (12) / Wright (6) Lopez (32) / Freeland (10) / Aldridge (6) By years end I think a rotation that looked like this would be ideal IMO.
I think it is a bigger deal when you are a big man if you break a bone in your foot. The more the weight, the more the stress, put on the small bone. As a guard I would think he would have a better chance of not having it a chronic issue.
Lillard isn't going to play 34 minutes. He played just a hair over 36 minutes last night and that sounds about right.
Yeah, you're right about that. Maybe Mo won't play any off guard and will play with McCollum exclusively.
Very unlikely 9 players in addition to CJ play every game once CJ gets back. Odds are one to two of those players will be sitting with an injury. Its just the nature of the game.
I think Less minutes for Batum and more for Wright at the 3, and none at the 4, with JoelFree at the 4 for a couple.
Yeah, I'm surprised at how few minutes Wright has gotten. I'm sure his minutes will creep up over the course of the month. Robinson will probably come on a little slower - but I really hope we give him the necessary minutes to develop. You can see he has skill, but he doesn't yet have the intelligence necessary to play more than he currently is.
