They make to many back-up goalies look like All Stars. It's their MO

Agreed, and that is something we have said for a few years also. Until we get a little more talent in here upfront, a big shot is a must, not much will change IMO.

Amazing how the NHL is cracking down on blows to the head but Stepan gets two and there's no whistle, another thing that never seems to change. The offsides call on Pouliot in the 3rd was not even close to offsides. Plenty of chances but no goals, Andersen played a better game. Pouliot takes a dumb penalty at the end but too many men on the ice is inexcusable (bad memories of Torts).

These are the teams they need to beat. Another one coming up Wednesday.

Why scratch Miller? Boyle and Pyatt need to be on the fourth line.
Miller Brassard and Pouliot can handle the third line.

They played pretty well, if not for a few defensive blunders at the start. Too many blocked shots though, they need to find a way to get more rebounds on a young goalie. Still missing far too many nets as usual.

I thought they played a good game tonight. Couldnt get that 2nd goal but it wasnt like the Ducks size and speed dominated the Rangers. This was a pretty even game I thought and that is a good sign.

Team is not there yet but its making strides. THEY NEED TO GET NASH BACK. They also need to add some scoring on this roster.

Agree 100%. This is a game and a team where Nash was badly needed. Way too many of their shots got blocked. They need to get more thru to the net.

I thought we played a decent game as well. Same old story though, can't score goals. What can you do I guess. Sure we need Nash back, but sadly he is not coming back anytime soon. So we either try and make a move for more scoring OR struggle to score and lose a lot of games like last night against very good teams.

They played decent at times. You know what was driving me nuts last night? Boyle playing every other shift. AV played him with Brassard and Cally, I believe. It did not make any sense to me. What was the point of dressing up Mashinter and Pyatt last night? As soon as AV stopped playing Boyle with 6 or 7 minutes left they started creating scoring chances consistently. The coaching has been inconsistent as the players so far.
