Amare. Shawn has never topped 20 ppg, whereas Amare got a whole 26 ppg in his 3rd season. Both are/were athletic freaks, but Ive just got to give it to Amare. I wouldnt use the Steve Nash excuse. Amare would have gotten atleast 22 ppg on any other average team.

A very tough one..... You have to go past the stats on Kemp. He was the heart and soul of the 96 championship run. They made the finals, that has to be a tick in his box as Amare has yet to do so. I recently watched gm 5 of that series VS the bulls. HOLY crapola Kemp was so friken quick! He pulled a spin on Longly that was so quick it made the Aussie big man look like he was a statue! Yes Amare has Nash, but Kemp had Payton. Of the 2 Nash is a true-er past first point but GP is a contender for the HOF! So no advantage can be given either way there. It does however account for Amare's higher PPG average. I think there is nothing in it. Amare has higher stats but his team scores shoots and runs more than the Sonics ever did. The frenetic pace of the suns leads to more stats! The only legitimate advantage one has over the other is Kemp made the playoffs, Amare hasn't yet. (although if healthy, they could take it all this year!)So I'm saying Kemp. For 2 reasons. 1. he took his team to the finals. and 2. because I am a bit biased towards Kemp as he was a Sonic. There really is nothing in it though.
