Not sure if anyone saw this... but there might be someone closing out the games this upcoming season other than Robertson... Joe Nathan (almost 39) is now a FA as Texas didn't give him a QO as well as Fernando Rodney (turns 37 before opening day) and Grant Balfour (almost 36) also on the market... Problem with Nathan is he is reportedly seeking a 3 year deal... http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/yankees/post/_/id/66683/d-rob-the-new-mo-not-so-fast?ex_cid=espnapi_public
Robertson may just be a victim of the situation, kind of blows for him and I hope if that happens he stays positive, but they need a big time arm in the pen with Mo gone and that big time arm will probably be a veteran closer, who will not be setting up.
I think if they bring in Balfour they could use him and Robertson as the closers, alternating between set up and closer until somebody dominates. Before you jump on me, I'm suggesting 2 guys, which is not a closer by committee situation.
