Honestly we dont' trade LMA unless were sucking and going to tank. I'd want promising talent and a lotto pick in the up coming draft. Thats not going to happen so it would be young talent but what is it going to take to get LMA? PA might be willing to go down with the ship and just not trade LA and hope to convince him to stay (He has been adamant about not wanting to rebuild) unless a team is willing to overpay for him with a trade like Klay/Barnes, or Beal/NeNe, Monroe/KPW, Valacunis/Ross, Butler/cha 1st/Mirotic/.

Rondo would be an interesting option. I think it would have to be a 3 way as I don't know if LA would resign there. But Rondo is not healthy so I'd want to see him back on the court in his old form first. We'd also have to look into his desire to be on the team there was always talk of him and Rivers/KG/Pierce clashing so we don't want to bring in a distraction. But when healthy Rondo is an amazing PG, his passing and especially his defense is just what this team could use.

This thread is moot though, since it seems Aldridge is happy. If we go on some 10 game losing streak, then I can see this becoming more relevant.

Aldridge will have more trade value after we make the playoffs.

I have a hunch that some teams (Houston and GS) will be after him pretty hard by trade deadline.

Going after a player hard? Like what? Trade Aldridge for Howard? Because if you think going after him hard with Asik, and scraps is hardly hard enough. Lol

I agree, but when that happens, we won't want to trade him.

Boston without Rondo is a worse situation than Portland, in terms of LMA winning a title.

For Boston to jump on that it would need to be a 3 teamer with Wallaces contract leaving and a young talented player coming in as well as maybe a pick, they wouldn't want to keep LMA either.
A trade like http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mqc9wkb might work but i'm not a fan of eating Wallace's contract but the bulls are already getting raped in that trade so I doubt they would add in anything else and Boston wouldn't add anything to that trade either.

Edit- The more I look at the trade the crappier it becomes on pretty much every none Boston part and the Boston part is a pure salary dump pretty much.

In Brian's scenario, Aldridge wouldn't be going to Boston. It was a 3-team deal with Houston getting Aldridge, Portland getting Rondo and Boston getting young players and picks.

Would Rondo re-sign in Portland? His contract is up the same time as LMA's. May as well take the chance on re-signing LMA in that case, since he at least has history with the Blazers.

I don't get it, at all.

Ya I wouldn't want a proven all star with a strong positive presence and championships rings walking into the Blazers locker room either.

Rondo. Strong positive presence. Unsure if those two go together.

I'd like to see where his positive presence was... because he has 0.

He's not a good fit for this team. Period.

Well I don't think he led the Celtics to all those championships by accident.

Yeah. Those secondary players Pierce and Garnett didn't make all those shots to help them win.

assists are only good if the player they pass it to make it. Rondo sure as hell didn't lead anything.

You're right, he didn't "lead" them.

Well ya assists are only good if the player they pass it to make it and if you want to look at the Current Season Stats they look pretty good to me even without those guys.
