But we're talking about his championship years. Too small a sample size for this year, as with any stat. His championship years he was not a leader. Garnett Pierce and Allen were.

I don't think the 4th guy in the big 3 can EVER be called a leader. That would just be weird.

But, if you want to use this years stats, how's that boston record looking? He's sure leading THIS team somewhere... Wiggins... WIggins.

Just because Rondo might be moody or have some weird personality traits doesn't mean they guy isn't one of the best PG in the league. I bet there are a lot of moody players in sports with some odd personality traits that you never hear about. Rondo is still a triple double machine.

But he's not a leader. Plain and simple. That's what this argument was about.

I will always stand that Rondo would be terrible for this team.

So will Lillard be as good if not better than Rondo?

In leadership? Yes. You never gave paramaters.

Besides, I have always, and will always stick to saying that Rondo is ONLY good because of his supporting cast, and has yet to prove he can do it without HOF talent. There's no disputing that.

I love the Blazers but CMon, In leadership? Where has Lillard led the Blazers to? Or is it because you see him smiling a lot more and Rondo has more of a serious look to him?

I like Lillard more because he's A: younger B: a much better shooter and C: not coming off of a major injury.

But sure, Lillard hasn't lead the Blazers anywhere, they should trade the bum.

(that was probably taken out of context, but I don't care)

You asked, "WIll lillard BE AS GOOD" and I answered it by saying by the time it's all said and done, that at least in leadership he'll be better.

Even with Rondo winning the rings, he was carried by Garnett, Pierce and Allen. Even as a PG, he's no leader. That's just a fact.

If anything Rondo is a locker room divider. I mean isn't he the one who drove Allen out of town?

Pretty much, yeah. His attitude is not conducive for a young team.

    We = young team.

Well according to the media Allen said it's me or Rondo so if Rondo was the player that left town and had Allen stayed with the team, might this be looked at any different? I guess Danny Angie and the Celtics felt as if Rondo was more valuable to the team than Allen was.

If healthy a Rondo/Lillard backcourt would be devastating. Rondo is, far and away, the best PG in the league when healthy.

OK so Allen never said Me or Rondo but The Celtics organization knew about this back in 2009 and offered plenty of money for Ray to stay. Instead of looking to trade Rondo they let Ray walk. So in any event they thought Rondo was still more valuable to the team.

Ray Allen Says Beef With Rajon Rondo Began in 2009

Ray Allen’s departure from Boston and landing in Miami continues to be sore subject for Ray and his former teammates. Rajon Rondo – one of the keys to Allen deciding to bolt as a free agent – claims that their acrimonious relationship was overblown. And according to Allen, the whole things started three years ago. Ray also talks in detail about why he no longer felt like he fit in with the Celtics’ plans. Per the Miami Herald: “I was very loyal to the city and I love the city, but when it came time to keep me in a uniform [the Celtics] did everything they could to seem like … to not want me to come back,’ Allen said. Yes, the Celtics offered Allen plenty of money to stay, but Allen viewed it as a hollow gesture. Boston signed Jason Terry in early July, ensuring that Allen would receive fewer minutes. He already had been benched for Avery Bradley. For Allen, who had helped restore Boston as an Eastern Conference power, it was too much. Allen is adamant that coming off bench for the Celtics ultimately had nothing to do with his decision to leave. After all, he’s currently coming off the bench for Heat, too. It was more about respect. In the end, Allen didn’t feel appreciated in Boston. In his final two seasons there, he was made to feel old. ‘In Boston, they were telling me they were going to bring me off the bench — ‘We’re going to play you less minutes’ — and all I asked was, ‘How are you going to use me because the last two years you’ve been using me as decoys,’ Allen said. ‘You’re running all these plays for me just to pass it to somewhere else and you’re not putting me into any scoring opportunities and I’m just standing over in the corner the majority of games.’ […] He said the friction with Rondo began in 2009 when Rivers and Celtics president Danny Ainge proposed a trade that would have sent Allen and Rondo to Phoenix for Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbosa and the 14th overall pick in the 2010 draft. Allen said that, at the time, Ainge and Rivers ‘didn’t get along’ with Rondo. ‘So, I called him and I told him, ‘hey they’re supposedly trading us to Phoenix because you and Danny and Doc don’t get along,’ Allen said. ‘So, whatever you can do.’ … ‘So, for some reason, I guess he thought that I was … that I had something against him, or there were some issues. And I had no issues with him. I won with him.’ Now, Allen says if Rondo ‘had issue with me, that’s on him … ‘I have a way of going about doing my job that, I want everyone to come and play their hardest and come in and do their job and I can’t, I don’t worry myself with things I can’t control,’ Allen said.”
