will the GS Warriors finally make the playoffs?I really dont know what to say about this. weve had the players to creep into the playoffs with a 7th or 6th seed for the past few years, but now that coach montgomery is gone and don nelson is in, we finally have a shot now that we have a coach with NBA experience

Nope, with the Rockets back the west is gonna be as competitive as ever and a team with Baron Davis as its leader and one 7 footer just isn't a playoff team in my eyes.

Yeah, big men are still a problem. You've got about 5, but only Diogu has potential. Rockets, Suns, Spurs, Hornets, Mavs, Clippers, Nuggets, and potentially the Lakers/Sonics/TWolves have a better chance.

last year we started off hot, but things went downhill from thereim tired :ranting: of waiting for this team to make the playoffs, it needs to happen now even if we dont make it out of the 1st round

I love Baron Davis and Richardson is a very good player and I also love Diogu but I just don't think they will yet. From what I saw when Davis played for Charlotte and when he just arrived in Golden State I think he could maybe lead this team to the playoffs. The problem is that he hasn't been healthy for 5 years. GS is a talented team and could surprise but their team is just so young, I don't think some of their players are ready yet. Adding Nelson for the next couple years will help them get some wins but I don't see them passing 38 or 39 wins yet. If Davis can finally stay healthy and their young players develop quickly they can make the playoffs in 2 or 3 years with some good moves in the off-season also to get some more proven players. Right now the West is just too deep.

I think that the Warriors have a chance to do it but Baron has to stay healthy for the entire season. When he got injured last season, they obviously declined. Richardson is becoming a very good player and Diogu is only going to get better this season. Murphy is a good shooter and a decent rebounder and Dunleavy is a good shooter. They have the talent, they just need to stay healthy.

Eh, I was rooting for them last year, but the only player I still really like is JRich.

The Warriors have a chance to make the playoffs, pretty much every team has a chance to make the playoffs, but I really think last year was their best chance at making it into the playoffs and they blew it. The Warriors are in a rough rough conference with alot of teams that are going to be hard to beat and play. We already know that Phoenix, Dallas and San Antonio are the class of the west and the best teams coming into the season. The Rockets have gotten tougher, and better with Wells and Battier coming to town, that is a team that should be able to make the playoffs. The Hornets who did really well last year, got even better this offseason with Peja coming to provide a kick out option for Chris Paul, Chandler coming to town and Bobby Jackson as the spark and back up point guard off the bench. Both the Rockets and Hornets made big splash's this offseason and will be serious playoff contenders. The Clippers, Kings, Lakers, and Nuggets are all serious playoff contenders this season. For the Warriors to make the playoffs, they are going to have to play at a high level the entire season, because there are alot of legit teams in the West. To be honost I really see the Warriors as one of the bottom teams in the West and not making the playoffs.

I doubt it to be honest. Obviously you guys will improve because you have a much better coach, but I just doubt you make the playoffs immediately in a conference like the West. But hey, I could definately see you gtuys making it in the near future though. We'll see how Ike Diogu develops.

The Warriors will not make the playoffs. This team is built around Jason Richardson and Baron Davis, two scorers at their positions who rely on flashy play rather than smart play. Both are of elite-status, but both are the wrong guys to build a team around. Aside from them, you have several bright spots like Troy Murphy and Michael Pietrus, before everything else goes downhill. Add the fact they are in the West and Adonal Foyle actually got playing time on this team... No

Plus, Patrick O'Bryant is a Warrior. That's two more big men with potential.

DallasSan AntonioPhoenixHoustonDenverLA LakersLA ClippersNew OrleansSacramentoMinnesotaUtahThey are all ahead of Golden State, IMO. I actually picked Golden State to have the worst record in the NBA this year. They very well may improve, and they may not have the worst record, but they will be in the bottom 5.

JRich is one of my favorite players in the league, but I think this team will have problems in the big games, close games, etc., due to Baron and JRich's horrible freethrow shooting. I mean, c'mon! They both play on a superstar level... with below 70% freethrow shooting? I'd understand if they both were C's or PF's, but SG's and PG's that are team leaders are supposed to handle freethrow shots (imo).

I will NEVER forget that game against Dallas when J-Rich hit the game-winning shot from the 3pt line with less than 2 seconds on the clock

Most likely top 10 material in my opinion due to the fact that he spun toward the three-point line, leapt in the air and remained there for what seemed like hours! He released the ball and SWISH! I couldn't believe it when I saw it on ESPN News the next morning.

Another dubs fan ehh? PM me some day. We can make it if Biedrins and Ellis can adjust to Nellie ball. I don't think that Dun is a huge factor because Zarko can produce the same that Dun can in the same amount of minutes.
