Remember how Kmart was a beast. He was doing that by the help of Kidd. Now Lets say THey never got Vince but kept KMart. Your Starting Lineup would be:PG:KiddSG:KittlesSF:JeffersonPF:KMartC:KristicYou have th rest of the players on the current team on the bench. So KMart will possibly an all-star if he stayed with NJ. Him and RJ would be a good scoring duo. Im sure KMart can maybe put up maybe 20 a game. So you have 2 players averaging 20 and are still young. Kinda think of what we missed out on.

You wouldnt have gotten Vince Carter...I'd say you'd be better off with Vince than KMart to be honest. Now you have Nenad, who can give you 15 a game, and has a nice mid range, and post up game. You would have a sh*tty scoring backcourt right now. You don't have a legit PF, but hey, you can throw in Jason Collins. He gets the job done on defense.

Martin is overpaid and was battling injuries the last two seasons. Kittles isn't even in the league anymore.

We are better now then we were then. Before all we did was run with some halfcourt. knowadays a style like that doesn't work anymore you have to also be a good halfcourt team. The Nets now have improved in their halfcourt and they are doing good. Also Vince is better than Kenyon , so I would keep Vince. And we would have never got Kristic from Europe if Kenyon was still there. The only reason we got Kristic back was becasue Kenyon, Alonzo, Eric Williams, and Aaron Williams all left so we needed a new big men. SO thats when we started to use Kristic.

I don't know if Vince is a better option than KMart, KMart worked extremely well with Jason Kidd and was an absolute pest when the Celts played the nets in playoffs of the early 2000's. Vince might opt out of his contract at the end of the season too.

Well, KMart did compliment JKidd's style of play, but VC has evolved the team. Though the Nets were in the Finals with JKidd and KMart leading the squad, JKidd has gotten older and the team has changed. I think that if VC was in the team at the time instead of KMart, the Nets would have most likely defeated the Lakers the first go-round.. Just my thoughts. I'll stick with them no matter who disagrees.

Well, right now, I think nets would be worse off with K-Mart. If we are talking circa 2001-2004, then I think we would have been worse off with VC.From 2001-2004, the Nets were built around running and shooters. K-Mart was a fantastic big men in open court, and it created a lot of mismatches for opposing big men. In half court he had a decent midrange game and with his athleticism attacked rim very well. He was the Nets spark plug, hyping his teammates up which fueled the running game. Those Nets teams also had a healthy JKidd who was still in his prime running the show, and had many more pure shooters. VC, despite amazing athleticism, doesn't run a ton on the break, and doesn't create the mismatches and such down low like K-Mart did. He also isn't the kind of spark that K-Mart is.Now that Jkidd has gotten older, less shooters, and less players who can run the break with an aging Kidd (who still is one of the best players in open court in league, 2nd to only Steve Nash), the team is built around a halfcourt set. VC is a much better halfcourt player than K-Mart, and is a 30-40 point threat every night, something K-Mart isn't.
