The state of the Pistons is GOOD.I really cant explain it. But I think the Pistons will be BETTER this year. Yes, they lost Ben Wallace. But they have added a center who can now score and they are MUCH deeper. This team is now built to do what Flip Saunders wants them to. Run. They will be kinda like the Phoenix Suns, but with A LOT better defense. Lets not forget, they still have their best big man in Rasheed. McDyess has been a 6MOY contender for the last 3 years and Flip Murray (depending on how they use him) should be a serious contender for that award this year. Tayshaun is a year older and did show signs of breaking out last year, but will probably truely break out this year with more consistant scoring as they are no longer playing 4 on 5 on offense and double teaming will be harder for opposing teams this year. Im not getting ahead of myself here as I am predicting the Heat to win the conference and ultimately win the title, but the Stones will put up a better fight than they did last year and may pull the upset.

Well, Tayshaun has improved in each year he has played. so, he will be better than last year. but as far as a 'break out' year, I see it going to Nazr Mohammed. He's getting some hype in the newspapers and it sounds to me that he's going to be a big offensive weapon. I'm not saying that he's going to be our teams best player because that is a split between Chauncey and Rip. Tayshaun and Sheed go after them. but I think Mohammed will be most improved.as for a season prediction, I will be making that when I do the Season preview that I have been working on, SO...PLEASE DO NOT DO A SEASON PREVIEW YET. THANKYOU.

I don't think Tayshaun had a great season last year at all. He didn't come around until about late march or so and this year that can't happen he has to be more consistent early on in the season. I think Nazr will have a breakout season too and to come in and fit in right away with this team. I think Flip Murray will also be great off the bench, he can play the 1 or 2 and he's a scorer. The Pistons could and probaly will make it back to ECF but will get put out by Miami and than have 2 1st round picks in next year draft so will get some more young talent, drop delfino, and have a great 2007-08 season.

the time is now becar, not 07-08we need to get back to the finals this year. what next year holds is not anything we should be worried about right now, BTW. if we get two 1st round picks without them being from trades, then that is flat-out embarrasing.

And yeah this team is still good but I'm just being realistic when I say I don't think they will beat Miami in ECF. I won't say they can't beat them, I'm just saying they won't. And the Pistons already have 2 first rounders in this upcoming draft, the one from Orlando included in the Darko trade and the Pistons 1st.

And his best year in the last few years he only managed to averaged 10.9pts per game. so I wouldnt expect big games from this guy. hes just a role player.

Look at his minutes per game as well. Fairly low for his career. I think his talents have never been fully utilized and he could possibly have his best season to date with the Pistons this year.I am also in the belief that Serbs know NOTHING about basketball and should refrain from posting on any basketball forums. Thank you.Hope you read this part last. That last part is a lie. I am Serbian too. Just havin a lil fun.

I dont think he will make huge impacts on the pistons hes still going to be the teams last option on offense to score so he really wont be that much better on offense with the pistons than ben wallace was when he was with the pistons.

he's supposed to be our last option. we already have 4 guys in the line-up that are supposed to score more than he is.he plays center. he is supposed to play post offense(which Ben minimally provided for us) and then play some mid-range(Like Ben did not and Nazr does) he is also a good defender. and I think that it is each NBA players responsibility to MAKE FREE THROWS!!! we dont even have to go there. Nazr can make FT'shes not here to be our best offensive player. we just need someone to contribute more than 7-9 points and Nazr Mohammed is very capable of that.

Not really...Ben didn't really get the ball too much anyways...so it really won't make a difference - it actually could be the opposite because Nazr can actually score - that means the ball will be in his hands more than Ben's.

obviously alot of players will improve because Ben is gone, not because Ben was a distraction, but because we can play 5-on-5 offense now.but the thing is, it was 6-on-5 on defense with him, in a way. ha
