...hammer, if you've never been down that way, you won't regret it. Once you leave mainland Florida it's like a different country down there, especially in the lower Keys...kinda like the Bahamas, everyone and everything seem more laid back. ...and if you make it to Key West make sure to walk around Duval Street...and make damn sure you visit Mel Fisher's museum...it will blow you away.
Never been to the bahamas, so I don't know what that is like... I've only been to Canada, Mexico, and Belgium... Mexico sucked, and Belgium was business only... so I really only enjoyed Canada...
In Fort Lauderdale where I lived from 1981 to about 2004, there is a Yacht Broker called HMY Yacht Brokers, the Y was my friend who his best friend was Jack Boyle, who owned Sunrise Musical Theatre and Cellar Door Productions. Cellar Door was the promoting and ticketing arm of his empire. Every great act in the music business we had tickets for with no hassle, from the Stones in the Orange Bowl to Elton John, the Bee Gees and etc...It was great. The Eagles are playing down here next week in Miami and the tickets are outrageous. Made me wish that Jack was still alive.
...if you're an Eagles fan at all and if you don't already have it, do yourself a favor and buy this dvd...sound quality is incredible for a live concert, especially if you have a surround sound system... http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/310689220613?lpid=82 ...here's a link from it but the sound quality in this clip is nothing compared to the actual dvd...great intro to Hotel California. http://vimeo.com/10897457
