    Oh yeah.

Everyone's voting for Boozer in the East, right?

If everyone in Portland would just vote three times, they'd all make it in. Not many people vote.

LeBron only got 1.5 million votes last year.

I'd rather none of them make it, and take a break instead.

60 players on the WC ballot, and we have 3 of them. Same as a really terrible Utah Jazz team.

There are 15 teams, so on average each team gets 4 candidates. So we're under-represented yet again.

I'm not complaining--I think it's more a statement of the dearth of quality on our roster than an indictment of the system. Hopefully Lopez, CJ or somebody else emerges this year to at least merit consideration on the ballot this time next year.

Wes deserves to be on. He's a top 5 SG in the conference for sure.

They don't vote because fan voting (at least in it's current incarnation) is just flat out stupid. I'm not going to vote for someone in the same position as Lebron if I know Lebron is going to win. There's already "predetermined" winners... maybe not by the league - but the league markets them, and it's made darn near impossible to go over them unless they are having a phenomenal season.

I just let the coaches choose the real all stars. They actually know.

Wes got snubbed, write him in! Trying to fill out this ballot makes me feel as though there are few hall of fame in their prime superstars in the NBA right now.

Well it won't let me submit a vote, says I already voted. I think the link is under brewski' account.

Well 3 frontcourt players make it so even if LeBron is a lock there are two other spots. I tried to vote Paul George and Hibbert it kind of shocked me how few legit stars are in the east. I'm sure Melo will make it but he's such a poor defensive selfish ball stopping player I could never vote for him.

And therein lies the problem. Melo isn't good at anything but making buckets. But there aren't enough basketball-savvy fans to know that. So the wrong people become starters or starters based on previous work, etc.

As little as Scotty Brooks played the subs last year, it's basically a break unless you're a starter, anyhow.

Still travelling, doing radio and tv commitments, etc. It's still "work" in a sense.

Put it this way. When you're heading there, you're not thinking about work, there's a relief.

When you're going to the ASG... you still have to be "up" in front of the lights, getting up early for that tv commitment, doing meet and greets, etc.

There's a VAST VAST world of difference.

Could be, but it seems that the NBA champions every year have not only multiple players at the AS game, but also multiple starters playing big minutes. It never seems to make much of an impact come playoff time.

    True.

Still though, there are distinctions psychologically.

No big deal, really, they are paid handsomely. lol.
