End of 3 quarters. 84-59 Bulls Bulls 53% Pacers 33% Deng 23, Rose, 17, hibbert 14, West 13, Hill, Hinrich 11, Butler 10 Bulls 32-30 rebounding edge
Now THAT'S better shooting! Nice game all around. Deng in particular was brilliant IMO. Sent from my GT-P1010 using Tapatalk 2
Shooting and scoring. We had well over 75 by Q3. Didn't have to rely on a miracle shot to win it at the end.
Bulls win 110-94 Bulls 51% Pacers 40% Bulls 42-37 rebounding edge. Hibbert 10, Deng, Noah, West 7 Deng 23, Rose 20, gibson 15, hibbert 14, West, Copeland, Hinrich, Boozer 13, Stephenson 12, Hill, Johnson 11, Dunleavy, Butler 10
82-49 in Q3. This is impressive against a good team like the Pacers. http://blogs.bulls.com/2013/11/bulls-stop-another-streak-with-110-94-win-over-pacers/
Well, I liked this Derrick Rose better than the version we had seen earlier this season, but it's still not the Derrick Rose I remember. Heck, for a lot of the time he looked like the sharpshooting 2 guard so many have sought. Hinrich played a very good game except for a remarkably awful 2 minute stretch to close out the 3rd quarter...0-3 from the field, 2 fouls, a turnover and a technical foul. If you look at the +/- stat for the game, you should really add +8 to Dunleavy, Deng, Gibson and Mohammed who had the bad fortune to be in the game during Hinrich's solo sabotage. Dunleavy is rounding into form, and is now clicking on .526 of his 3s. It won't stay above .500, but his shot looks like money to me. Taj Gibson doesn't usually put up big numbers, but what a valuable player to have on the team. He's a beast.
The Rose / Hinrich pairing is a hint of what we could be with a 2nd ball handler in the lineup. Maybe it makes more sense to some why some of us wanted guys like Mayo or Tyreke or Monta Ellis. A guy who can make defenses pay for taking the ball out of DRose's hands. I think it's a good idea to have another guy handle the ball, even most of the time. It sure looked to me like Kirk was a big part of giving up a big chunk of a 33 point lead. By the end, it was 16. We shouldn't be giving up leads like that, even in garbage time. It frankly looked like time ran out on Indy's comeback
I think everyone wants guys like Mayo, Evans and Ellis. Why not? The problem is that you need to give up someone to get one of those guys...like Luol Deng who performed better than anyone else in the building last night. He was also played a part in getting the lead to 33. I haven't seen anything like this on any of the Bulls' boards I frequent, but I imagine some Pacers fans might agree.
Boards? I think the game recaps by AP talked about it. Along the lines of Thibs having to put Rose back in the game when the lead was cut. Also, Butler was +19, Deng was +11. FWIW.
I said during the game thread that the Bulls have found their SG, Derrick Rose. Hiinrich and Rose at the guards sport works. Now, if only Kirk can stay healthy. yes Kirk did have a bad 2 minute stretch. Gibson is a beast! No argument from me.
