Talbot A+ Can't ask for more
Lundqvist B- He sucked against NJ in a key game. Team definitely does not play as hard defensively for him as it does for Talbot. They expect too much of him.

McDonagh A- Rough start but clearly is one of the top 10 defenseman in the game.
Girardi C- Only the past couple games has he looked decent. He sucked early on
Staal C Terrible to start but at least he had an excuse
Del Zotto C No worse than Staal or Girardi but still remains the whipping boy. Was great last game and got benched for it.
Moore B- When he stinks, it's bad but the kid has been pretty solid
Stralman B My expectations are really low for him. He stinks at times but for a 6th defenseman, he's still better than most of what the league uses. So I guess he's a B.
Falk C+ He's done OK for a guy who not much is expected from

Kreider A+ Right now along with Stepan, he's the guy on the ice where I think the Rangers will score
Stepan B+ Slow start but clearly, he creates offense every game
Zuccarello B He's a product of his linemates but that is OK
Nash A He played three games and won the Kings game by himself. I'll grade him off of that.
Hagelin A When he came back, the team won. You can't ask for any more than that.
Cally B He can play better but he's been solid
Brassard D Yeah, he had crap linemates but he's still been lousy, His play late in the game last night was horrendous. He's much better than he's played.
Richards A- Give the guy credit. He's played great at times this year.
Boyle B+ For Boyle, this is playing really well.
Dorsett C Played like a moron to start the season but he's turned it around
Pouliot D+ Had 3 great games, and the rest he was invisible. Just when I started to like him.
    D. Moore D Hasn't shown much at all
Miller C+ He's had quite a few good chances, but hasn't learned to finish at the NHL level. Kid surely looks like he will be a player.
Fast F Showed he was not ready for the NHL yet.
Pyatt F- Sucks and takes bad penalties.

That's pretty accurate Dump. I wouldn't quite give McDonagh an A so far but he's been much better of late. Both Moore's have been somewhat disappointing though John has a bright future, he just isn't at the level we saw after the trade. Pouliot has stunk except for the goal in the Isles game. He needs to contribute offensively with Nash out especially, but that's his career in a nutshell. Richards has been worlds better this year, I didn't think he had it in him, but still has to be bought out unfortunately. Talbot, what more can you say. Same with Kreider, hopefully he dosen't look back.

Overall I'd give the team a B- so far, after a road trip which was D-grade, maybe even a B since they finally won in MTL again.

Game 20 is tonight so I will grade them after tonight's game. If they get at least a point tonight then I agree with 71 with B - overall. No Nash, no cally, no hags, rough road trip to start the season, new system.
And dump, where is Pyatt's grade?
The coaching gets B. I was rough on AV and the coaching staff at the beginning but AV's grown on me.

I can't find a whole lot of fault in your grades, dump. Except for that soft goal against Carter, Lundqvist has played pretty well after a slow start by the whole team. And to be fair, Brodeur won that game for the Devils, against another goalie that would have been a rout, even with the mistakes we made, just like how Price kept Montreal in the game last night. Both of those games could have easily been 5 goal games for us, but they stood on their heads. Sure we made some bad mistakes in them, more notably against NJ, but I think we played pretty well over all in both.
