What re-enactments are you talking about? Did they take place in a computer simulation too?

This is exhibit F-294 from HSCA, on the left you see CE 399, the magic bullet, to the right you see two bullets which were fired with the same ammo and and gun into swabbs of cotton. cc853 was fired into the rip of a goat and the one on the far right was fired through the wrist of a human cadavier, in the same bone Connally was hit.

Ah, well the Los Angeles times found it "inconclusive" I guess that settles it. I'm sure they did a rigerous investigation, afterall, media these days is great at doing real investigation. The real investigations have already shown the Oswald story is bunk, getting a confession is just a cherry on top. But of course, nothing will be good enough for some people.

I listened to the tape, and it was a big long monologue by E Howard Hunt. The JFK thing was only one of the things mentioned, but we know this guy was involved in some serious shit during his career.

But whatever, believe he made it up or that his sons implanted false memories in his mind.

What interest does the media have in covering this up?

That's the biggest head scratcher of them all.

They were happy to take down Nixon. Think about it.

Denny, the argument is not that the bullet was unfired, but that it looks like a bullet fired into cotton swabs and nothing like a bullet that has hit bone.

So in regards to the "magic shot". I don't think it's impossible that JFK and the Connally could have been aligned in such a way that you could draw a line from the school book depository straight through all of their wounds. The shot that hit JFK apprantly came while they limo was behind the sign though, so we can't see what position they were in.

Another unknown is how the path of the bullet may have altered or deflected. It does seem unlikely that bullet going on an ~18 degree trajector to the left would be able to go through JFKs neck and hit Connally in the right armpit. In the vid where Connally turns, his right shoulder doesn't appear to really move to the left much, he pivots. If you turn in your chair to look over your right shoulder, are you going to twist your back at a 90 degree angle or lean to the right on your hip. If I'm sitting in a car and want to look over my right shoulder, I'm going to lean to the right. See what I mean? The contortion does not seem likely. The zapruder film seems to show this as well.

In terms of trying to find the location of the shot based on an imaginary position of the two men, it's a bit of a silly exercise, because the slightest adjustment in the angle of entry or the way JFK was positioned will throw the originating location way off.

Connally and his wife were pretty adamant that they were not hit by the same shot, and frame 230, where you see him holding his hat when his wrist bone was shattered corroberates that.

The bullet is squashed because it hit bone sideways.

Are you a forensic expert? Are you listening to those who are?

I don't think so on either count.

    FWIW

I assume you mean to say the bullet was not squashed because it hit the bone sideways. What forensic expert said that? The picture I posted CAME from an actual forensic test using the same bullets, gun, and hitting the same material.

So why don't you tell me what forensic test has shown that a tumbling bullet can break a wrist or rib bone and not sustain similar damage to one that hits head on. I am no forensic expert, but that doesn't make sense to me at all.

Seriously, I'm not sure why you're ignoring me. Watch the Nova special. It covers a lot of the stuff you're talking about.

Do you not see that CE 399 is not round. It's squashed. Oval shaped. Right below where it says "Not even almost pristine."

It's also got a chunk of it missing, which was found where you'd expect it to be found.

That was actually on today during the Blazer game. I saw bits of it during commercial and it did look interesting. Though I doubt they've really uncovered anything I haven't heard before. I'll try and catch it sometime.

Denny, no one is trying to say it was not fired, but just look at the exhibit I posted above, it looks like the two examples that were fired into cotton swabs.....

The test I thought was illuminating was the ballistic soap.

Soap? Did they fire a tumbling bullet through bone and have it coming out like Denny said? I saw them fire a bullet into pine and ballisitc jelly. Not the same thing boys.

Ballistic soap shows you things that ballistic jelly can't. It was just cool, it would be fun to shoot into some. It was just one of many tests.

That would be impossible, since no reputable investigation of the case has ever been conducted.
