Looking at the history of our jerseys......man we have had nothing but beautiful gear. None of those are bad!
These are what I want the new ones to look like. You can never go wrong with the old school classic........ Sitting next to Rice and he says this is his favorite.........
If car companies asked what people wanted before they designed new cars all the models would still have giant tail fins. I want to see something new. Forget polling fans, the Ducks don't poll their fans. Come up with some new designs and then lets discuss what we like and don't like.
I like all three posted thus far (Walton, Wilkens, Lucas). Grew up with the Lucas version, so I'm partial to the diagonal stripes, but overall I think I like the Walton ones best - the vertical text looks fantastic. Though I think the Lucas version with a slight update to the stripes could be a winner. Whatever the case, I think it's apparent that a lower-case font is a winner! I absolutely hate the Rip City jerseys. They're a design travesty. They look like cheap rec league gear. Tangent: I love lettering. After seeing this thread I started sketching out some concepts. It's tough to develop something new while trying to retain the soul of our classic lettering. It's such a unique font!
Unless it's a retro jersey, keep the silver included with the red, black and white...looks too generic without it.
I like the 1st uniforms best, and those would be sweet in black. I think they can't do the b l a z e r s Uniforms because OKC has a version of them for their alt uniforms (seriously, how much more of a blatant rip-off can that franchise be?) and the NBA sports major wood for the Zombie Sonics
Yeah - I've been calling for a grey jersey for a while. I think it'd look great. Grey alternate home. Red alternate away. Though personally, I'd do red as the standard and get rid of the black jersey. Actually, maybe a light grey home and a dark grey away as alternates, with white/red as standard home/away.
Dates are wrong on the first uppercase Blazers jersey; started in '91-'92, not '89-'90. At least the Blazers switched from the awful black lettering with red shadows to the opposite that same year, it looks a lot better on those jerseys.
The Blazers have lost touch with the culture of Portland. Portland has a strong sense of pride, you see it with the Timbers Army and Cascadia. The Blazers are mired in this 90's vibe that isn't connecting to the culture that is Portland.
Please get rid of that damn slanted font. Go back to Portland instead of Blazers....at least for road unis Get rid of the silver. Our colors are scarlet, black and white
