I did not want to jinx the game tonight, so I didn't go anywhere near mentioning BK. But this comparison is exactly what we're talking about. Portland can't get LeBron, so what players can they get who, combined, can give the Blazers a statistically equal advantage? The problem is how does Portland compete with Miami? You score more points than they do. The Blazer are on the right track.
Great post, well articulated and eloquently typed! The best part is his replys further insult himself.
Really last place, check the stats, Oakland finished last in their division 1 time since money ball started. Considering the NBA failure to spend money has to be treated in a different capacity. The Blazers are 9-2 this year but they are doing it with smart trades, and picking up cheap pieces. The fact that they are significantly under the tax when the title contenders are all significantly over lends credence to the comparison.
It seems like a pathetic reach if in order to argue against a basic premise of a thread, you have to take an all too literal approach to it. Wait, there's actually differences between the Blazers and the A's??!!!? No shit. Did she say everything is the EXACT same, and we are the A's? Nope. But since there's not a great way to just dispute the premise, why not be an asshole and troll the thread instead by trying to see ways we differ from the A's. Makes sense.
My money is on the the black gentleman in the ugly sweater competition, to pull off that sweater he must be fabio
