Bush: 45 carries, 147 yards, 0 TDs. 23 receptions, 187 yds, 0 tds. 1 fumbleMaroney: 60 carries, 294 yards, 3 tds. 6 receptions, 76 yds, 0 tds, 0 fumblesWho would have thought Maroney would have been better than Reggie "The sh*t" Bush so far. Give this nig Maroney some f*cking respect. He probably would have been top 10 overall but he didn't play in one of the spotlight teams (USC, Notre Dame, OSU, Texas, etc). Bush may have better moves in the open field, but Maroney is stronger, breaks more tackles, just as fast, and a more intelligent player (you don't see him reversing field and sh*t). In the four games he's played I can't even begin to count how many stiff arm's he's had that just railed the defender trying to tackle him. I hated Reggie Bush in college because of all his hype, and I still hate him. He's really living up to it all. F*ck that guy, Maroney is the best rookie back in the NFL.
Yeah Maroney has deeply impressed me; Reggie better step up because I wanna see this guy do some real sh*t this season.I want them both to do well, and MAroney has already done that... this guy is for real
They are both going to be very good backs, they are very different players. It's only 4 games, let's give them a couple years.
reggie was over hyped....he's badass but not great as an nfl back, he's more of a westbrook type....he won't have his way with people in the nfl, and he showed that against ut....when he is faced with fast defenses he is just a good back......to bad this ain't he pac 10 where everyone sucks...cause even the sh*tty teams in the nfl have fast people on defense......Maroney is a real rb, not a tweener like bush which is why he is doing better

Let's not get too carried away. Reggie Bush will be a great player and I've been one of the few to say he will never be a great 'runningback', I didn't jab the Texans for drafting Mario Williams at the time. He's never going to be a guy that can take the ball up the middle, he just isn't built for it. Reggie Bush is built like a wide reciever for the most part, I knew comparing him to Marshall Faulk...etc...was foolish because Marshall was a small back but he was built to take hits, same goes for Tiki Barber, people say 'look at him, he's a small back'...But look at him, he's built like a truck. I think Bush wil be a nice back, he won't run people over but as he matures he will figure it out. Brain Westbrook is a fair comparison but Bush's talent is much higher...even if he played poor defenses in the PAC10.
Give Reggie a break. He's a little guy, and it will take some adjusting before he can dominate like he did in the NCAA.
I know it's only been 4 games, and I'm not a huge football guy, but Laurence Maroney can play. He's going to be an excellent player. But the upside of Reggie Bush is remarkable, let's not jump to conclusions after week 4.
Laurence Maroney is a nice back but look around the league, every team has a 1,000 yard back. Runningbacks almost always make big impacts. Ronnie Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Stephen Jackson, Kevin Jones...anyone with aboive average talent with the Patriots team/system should put up numbers.
