this is a little off topic but you know what I think would be great? since were talking about teams on our upcoming schedule.... Dame and westbrook getting into it...those two having a rivalry would be a lot of fun. it would probably make dame play better too. I know russ is afreak athletically but when dame really focuses...he doesn't miss much. hence him being 13-16 in 7 OT games. plus it would just be a fun rivalry
Thought: our start reminds me of the Suns' blistering start in 2009. They lulled midseason but finished with a fury. After beating us in the first round, they went on to reach the WCF. I could see that happening to us.
I never understood why so many fans thought we had no chance at all of home court advantage. I've been saying this since early summer the west is wide open so while I thought we'd be a #6 seed we could very easily fall to #9 or jump to #3. I think some fans are so butthurt over the last few seasons of following the Blazers they are guarding themselves from any and all possible emotional letdowns. But ignoring the possible upside of a team is just as stupid as ignoring the possible downside.
So the next 10 games are brutal "strength of schedule," the meaning of which still escapes me. Is Milwaukee still one of those 10 games you called "brutal"? Do they still have a lousy record? Should they not be a fairly easy win, based on their record and how the Blazers are playing? If all that is true, then maybe what you meant to say was that the 9 games after we play Milwaukee are going to be brutal.
And it seems you failed to see my prediction. I put 90% certain we win in Milwaukee. But you wanna press that all 10 teams need to be contenders to be a fucking brutal 10 games, then go for Mr. Brady
no shooter its like "tonight im going to enjoy a nice cigar, then get raped with a broom handle 9 times. its gonna be brutal"
1.) Milwaukee on the road - Win 2.) Chicago at home - Loss 3.) Golden State on the road - Loss 4.) New York at home - Win 5.) Phoenix on the road - Loss 6.) Lakers on the road - Win 7.) Indiana at home (b2b) - Loss 8.) OKC at home - Loss 9.) Utah at home - Win 10.) Dallas at home (b2b) - Win 5-5, and I feel like that's an optimistic reading. We'll see.
You're new, so I'll overlook you not seeing that I was being completely facetious. I'm very magnanimous.
What can we do to bring noise back into the Rose Garden? The fans, maybe they were anticipating a lotto team but they have been a complete disappointment this year. Empty seats, No shows and I have spent much time wondering if there was a pulse in the Rose Garden.
This appears to be one of those personal attacks I hear so much about. August 2011.....dark month for the forum
