Actually that was suggested quite a bit on this board. Actually Aldridge for turner and Derek favors I believe.

Batum/Leonard for Turner/Hawes? I could probably accept that. However, I think that the poster who's suggesting that is missing the point when he's pointing out that "Batum shoots too many 3's, and Turner can drive the lane and create, which is what we need." Clearly he hasn't read our threads about Stotts' 3-point-shot based philosophy.

Turner works well in Philly cause he can attack the basket and dominate the ball. Lillard is and should be our main ball handler you cannot pair some like Turner with Lillard.

I like Turner a lot. But yes, this.

I wish I could find some of the good ol' trades on the ESPN board. Those were hilarious. IIRC, there were some LMA trades for young, average players. It was fantastic.

Not objecting necessarily to the opinion, but isn't Turner's offensive skillset similar to Nic's? And he works out just fine. In fact, Damian seems pretty good when paired with a ballhandler like Maynor or Williams. What part of Turner's game is severely duplicative?

Turner has to be the scorer in Philly, these guys look different when they're not the primary go to guy on a team that values ball movement. JJ Hickson is a perfect example of a guy who can score in the paint and put up numbers...been there, done that. I see no improvement from trading Batum period. Leonard, yeah...let's talk trades, Barton, yeah...let's talk trades..Trust in Olshey!! He's very, very good at this stuff! Our 3rd stringers all have trade value. I would not be surprised to see Olshey make a move at the deadline but it's early and we're not struggling here.

Turner has a couple issues which suggest we would not work with Lillard, where a ball handler like Maynor or Williams has at least been somewhat effective. Turnovers and Assist Ratio, Turner unlike Williams or Maynor is not keen on passing the ball, Lillard can be effective spacing the floor with a willing passer and Turner is not that.
