As the title states, where would you think Miami Heat would place in the Eastern Conference at the end of the regular season?
I think Miami will have to battle it out this season. Indiana Pacers have a pretty solid line up and Chicago Bulls benefits from the return of Derrick Rose. Not to mention, Bulls actually performed really well last season without Rose.
Nobody's close to LeBron's contributions. He is the difference. I don't know if you can stack a team with the rest of the league's players and win it all.
I agree. I think Lebron's contribution can be mirrored by Kobe's in the past to the Los Angeles Lakers
I think Kobe needed a Shaq or a Gasol to win. LeBron could probably win with a weak supporting cast at this point.
Not necessarily. Kobe produced some 30-point games, even an 81 point game. However, it can be argued that it needed some support, but it is a team sport. For Heat's case, I think Dwayne Wade is the support for Lebron.
Well, LA won games, of course. Just no championships without those guys. Threepeat, then Shaq left for Miami, then no more championships until Gasol got there.
Reiterating what I said before, Basketball is a team sport. Kobe and Lebron produces some amazing plays, can be characterised as legends. Both members need supportive team members in order to win. A team cannot win with one person, but that one person can make an impact on the overall team's performance. Kobe needed the help from Shaq and Gasol. Lebron needed Dwayne Wade, signalled by his failure to gain a championship by himself in the Cavaliers.
LeBron won 60+ games with weak cast of teammates. He is past the point where he misses in the clutch, no? He'd win with guys like Mo Williams as his PG.
Yep totally agreed. However, in the long run, he has failed to win a NBA Championship. However, lets get back on topic. I think overall, Heats will have a good but hard run at coming first in this year's conference.
First or second in the east. Should be Heat, Pacers, Bulls battling it out. Nets and Knicks are struggling right now.
