    This was all after my time. I did notice when Reagan became President, that several cartoon heroes including Batman suddenly morphed from humorous parody into serious, gruff killers who liked to cause pain to opponents.

    In case you haven't made the connection, all the videos above show drug-inspired programs. Without the drug subculture, the U.S. would have no art.
