Listening to the crowd over the radio it sounded like someone had turned on a giant reverb unit, even the ball echoed off the court...tough to play to an empty house with any fire.
Yep. The first step to being a contender is learning how to grind out wins on the road. This team is doing that. The future looks promising...
Scott Lynn on the call of a Dorell Wright three https://soundcloud.com/portlandtrailblazers/dorrell-wright-3-pointer-give
Scott has always been solid in whatever role he's had in this town - whether it be it the Blazers or calling the epic 1998 Civil War win on television. As for the crowd - that arena seats 19,000. There's no way it was at half capacity, from watching on television. I'd guess no more than 8,000.
"the Trail Blazers have swept a road trip of at least four games for the first time since Jan. 20-26, 2003". Wow that's a long time
Sheed missed 7 straight games, including those 4. 2 of the 4, we ground out in overtime. Sheed was suspended 6 games (should have been 1 game) for yelling at Donaghy after a game. Bob Whitsitt left 3 months later. It has taken 10 years to recover from the loss of Whitsitt. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/POR/2003_games.html
