Who are some players who will score 50 for there first time?I think Wade is at the top of the list. His career high is 48 back in '05. And his season high was 44 last year.Other mentions: Carmelo, Arenas, Brand, Marion.
Gotta watch out for RJ this season. If Vince happens to miss a game or two he has just as much as a shot as anyone else in the league. He scored 40 last season against against Charlotte and I think hes bound to hit 50 sometime soon. Not the most explosive scorer but he is really effiecient with the ball.
Nah, won't be Marion. I think the Suns will be more balanced this year so no player will get a phenomenal amount.
I think it's merely impossible to predict who is going to have a 50 point night. When you look around at the talent in the NBA, there are a lot of people that could put up 50 if they wanted to. You can't just say "hmm.. Elton Brand will have a 50 point game this year." He COULD, but like I said before, there are so many people in the NBA that could do it, you can't just say who will.I remember Tony Delk had a 50+ point night in his career - anything can happen.

Iverson
Wade and Arenas have serious shots at this next year. I dont know about Brand. It's very hard for a big man to score 30+ in a game.
Shawn Marion, not to be a homer, but he's scored close to 50 at least 4 times in his carrer he had a 44 point game last year not to mention the 4 consecutive 30 20 games last year
Well, I'll drop Charlie Villanueva in that list because last season, as a rookie, he dropped 48 points. I don't think he can seriously top that, but if he does, I won't tell you I told you so.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mikster100 @ Oct 4 2006, 09:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Shawn Marion, not to be a homer, but he's scored close to 50 at least 4 times in his carrer he had a 44 point game last year not to mention the 4 consecutive 30 20 games last year</div>Yeah, true, but I won't be certain about that. You never know how Amare may have an impact this season. I think Steve Nash will go back down to 15 and 10-11 or whatever.
Has Michael Redd ever dropped 50? He could be a canadite, that kid can score. I'm pretty sure Paul Pierce has never dropped 50, but it would surprise me if he did.
Peja Stojakovic will score 50 this year for the first time in his career. I just have a hunch. I also think gilbert and Joe Johnson will score 50 for the 1st time, Joe had his career high 42 last year against GSW so I dont see why he cant do it.Joe also set or tied career highs in every stat category last year except for rebounds and steals.
