    CHI wouldn't do that.

Trading CJ without knowing what you have is a mistake waiting to happen. A real scorer/shooter with a brain is rare these days.

Neil will have to pull an under-the-radar move to move the needle without giving up a lot - the bench is thin as it is.

McCollum is likely our best bench player. Do not trade him for anyone.

Serious question here: Would Omer Asik move the needle? Why or why not?

    Yes but only if

    1) you get him for little cost
    2) you keep Lopez
    3) Asik and Lopez can come to a friendly agreement on play time and not have either of them mope like little kids.

absolutely. A package around Lopez+Leonard would be fine with me. Freeland has really impressed me this year playing the backup center role. I think Leonard could flourish next to Howard, he may be more suited to the 4 spot on that team anyways

Prove it. In the 1990 WCFs, who did we play and who bobbled the pass after drexler's steal in the last minutes of game 6?

Iirc he is an UFA this summer...

The 5'10" Isaiah Thomas is the type of instant offense/change of pace guy I'd like off the bench.

Efficient scorer with an improving 3pt shot, also has a career 18.1 PER.

I'm 24 so don't know about the bobbled pass but played the suns in 1990. I know the lore states the Blazers would have beat the bulls in 91 if they had beat the lakers in the WCF and that they were the best team in the league that season. I know they would have won in 2000 if they had made it past the lakers as well. I cheered on Roy in his amazing 4th quarter against the Mavs and wasn't happy when he came back early from his knee injury in the Phoenix series. I wanted Durant instead of Oden. I wanted Faried instead of Smith. I used the term pritch slap, more than once. I thought Tyrus Thomas would be good once upon a time and hated the trade of Webster for Babbitt and Gomes. Also wanted Barnes and Marshall in the 2012 draft so we could let Batum walk, really though Kendall Marshall would be Andre Miller 2.0. If it was just Barnes vs Batum I could debate the pick being smart but Lillard is a stud.

I'm liking Lopez right now and am not sure that a trade for Asik, giving up Lopez, makes sense. The needle may actually swing in the wrong direction.

I like what we've seen from Lopez but Asik has many of the same skills as Lopez but is better in nearly every area. He shuts down pick and rolls like a boss. Can't look up the stats atm but I'm pretty sure Houston is better defensively with him on the court than they are with Howard on the court.
