    LMA on Scott VanPelt

"Were you surprised to see the Knicks go with that defense where they give you a lot of open layups to see if you'll just mess it up?"

    LMA: "I plead the 5th."

"I'll just go ahead and say it for you, some of the worst help defense I've ever seen in the game in a long time."

Jermaine O'Neal 18/8 his first game back from injury, rushed back to cover for suspended Andrew Bogut.

Had a really intense and personal interview after the game. Kinda weird, but hard to dislike.

I may not be in large company in here, but I absolutely love Jerm. Wished he was our back up too

Rick Fox's uncanny turkey gobble is making me really question my unyeilding hate for him... what a dorky, slightly endearing skill!

    Awesome.

Yea we could sure use a Jerm like backup center right now, unfortunately like Jermaine, Meyers is a project and we gotta wait. Lotta speculation we'll use him in a trade, but I honestly don't think we'll make the same mistake with Leonard. Too much potential.

I love Jerm as well. Really wanted us to get him this off season. He even said multiple times he would love to come back to Portland.

If we can beat the Suns, the Lakers could be the win to tie our 13 game win streak. !!!!

That would be awesome but we always have trouble with the suns especially when we play in their arena. Something about that team just gets under our skin, not sure what it is.

Just imagine if he backed up Aldridge man. He's a solid player. 10-15 minutes of toughness!

I also wanted him because I thought he would be a great mentor for Leonard. Jerm had a great jumper and knew how to best use his athleticism, figured he might be able to teach Leonard how to start cashing in on his physical gifts.

No shock here but it sounds like Bynums knees are shot:

Bynum adapting game amid knee issues

    By Nick Borges | ESPN.com

Andrew Bynum, after missing all of 2012-13 with knee issues, is averaging 6.9 points (shooting 40.6 percent from the floor), 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. Bynum's knees are still problematic, however he's trying to adjust his game knowing his quickness and agility likely will never come back.

“It’s every time (I got up and down the court,” Bynum told The News-Herald. “I’m playing through that. ... Whenever I try to do anything explosive, it’s (painful). I’ll just stick to the floor -- ground game. Position defense and position offense on the ground."

Bynum, at this point, can only play about 20 minutes per game and that's why he starts. He was able to play on back-to-back nights recently which is a good sign. Other centers, like Roy Hibbert, aren't athletic and that is what Bynum knows he must adjust to moving forward if he wants to continue playing in the NBA. Bynum will likely have knee issues for the duration of his NBA career.

“I think I can play 20 minutes a game pretty comfortably at this point," he said. “I feel good. We’ll just monitor minutes."

Nah. One of my biggest disappointments of our offseason. We did a lot that I absolutely liked, but I wanted us to grab JO, and he wanted us to reach out.
