So why do the suns own the blazers?

Is it Liilard awful defense? Can't be the only reason.... Where are the bad matchups? Do they just play great defense?? All I know is the suns team reminds me of the blazers last year. I still think they fall apart by spring. But it's amazing we beat the warriors spurs but can't contain a dragic, plumlee, Morris, frye lineup. Some college teams could shot that down. Just don't understand the problem.

They have confidence against us, we don't against them. It's mental. This reminds me how our squad was able to pummel the lakers at home over and over again, regardless how badly we sucked. Some teams just have mojo on another team.

^^ Yup. Just like how the Spurs can't win in Portland, we can't win in Phoenix. Every team has a nemesis.

Reminds me of Sacto at Arco back in the day; you just pencilled in a loss when you saw that game coming up.

I remember that. Even the days before Webber, Bibby and Stojakovic. Back when they were garbage and we were really good, we could NEVER win there.

So if you say words like 'us' and 'we' were supposed to believe that you're really Blazer fan?

    Gotcha

If you're being correct, they don't "own" us--they "own us in PHX." We beat them on the 19th.

My ex-in-laws have lived in Phoenix for 20 years. He's the head of surgery at the veteran's hospital. I just found out that she has a lung infection from the desert air. When he retires, they're moving to a house in Oxnard they own. I'm guessing that getting closer to the ocean stops the infection.

    So that explains it.

I'm just curious why you only seem to appear in force when things are perceived as not going well. You were very notably absent or scant during most of the win streak but they lose a game and here you are casting aspersions on the capabilities of the Blazers.

All Negative Nancy, no Positive Patty personality in you.

I expect some people are glass-half-full and others glass-half-empty. You, however, seem to be a "the glass is never full" person.

I expect if the Blazers won the championship it will only be because someone on the other team got hurt, or the Blazers got very lucky. Not really anything to cheer about, just a "I guess that fell in your lap" reaction.

Still, always good to have a contrarian around. I just wish the occasional positive affirmation arose from your posts as well.

    Gramps...

First of all the word is shoot. 2nd besides being the most Negative Nancy of the bunch, saying things like this really hurts your credibility as a poster and calls into question your BBIQ. There is no college team in history that could beat the worst NBA team. Stop saying things like that...

Why is your life so boring Carlito, that you have to stir up drama? Do you just wish people paid attention to your radio show?

The reason for their confidence against the zurs is probably because Frye has seen many of the blazers penises and has relayed to several suns players that they have larger genitals, by volume.

Nothing will boost a mans confidence like being told they are bigger than their ex (teammates), and confidence is a major part of basketball, this is why ice veined assassins are so revered, and players who aren't afraid to take the last shot are put on a pedestal whether they make them or not.

Finally, someone on this forum has the courage to ask the hard hitting questions, and the integrity to never waiver from the truly earth shattering weaknesses that the lowly Blazers display on a nightly basis.

My hat is off to you good sir. All this winning has only served the enhance the already over-inflated ego that is known as the S2 forum, and quite frankly I've always felt we could use a sharp mind such as yours to facilitate some enlightenment around here.

Sadly, as a fan of the Blazers, I suffer from an inherent fallacy known as homerism, and I lack the mental capacity to participate in the high level discussions that you wish to grace us with. Perhaps your striking mental superiority was born for a different era, one far beyond our evolutionary state at this time. Perhaps you should try back again in a thousand years, when we've all had a chance to progress and evolve, so that we may be better prepared to properly discuss your concerns.

I'm not sure you can say after three games, the Suns own the Blazers. Remember the Blazers have a victory as well.

But one thing the Suns did not only in game but game two in Phoenix was compete. Hornacek in both games got the team to compete and play hard in both games. When they came out sluggish early in the last game. He lit into them and they were a different. His teams compete as hard versus us now as hard as they did back when he wore the jersey. Clydes teams struggled with KJ's and Hornaceks teams in Phoenix. Any many times they were blown off the court. So did the Suns own the Blazers back then? No Portland beat them twice in two different playoff series in that period.
