Questions were asked to 5 beat writers about what the Bulls should or might do, to Derrick Rose and if he will be the same player. Read more http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page...t&fd=R&usg=AFQjCNFPEggGgROzN7GWhrMG-Q8bFzHAeQ
Well, to summarize: 1). This era of the Bulls is over 2). They ought to trade Luol Deng 3). They should tank, but probably won't 4). No one's sure what Derrick's going to be like when he gets back
If the Bulls re-sign Deng, all that really ends after this season is the "Boozer Era." The idea that a Reinsdorf-owned team would tank is so unrealistic as to be not worth the breath of discussion. Comical really. The 2014-15 season is the "middle-era" of the DRose epoch.
That's fair, but it had more to do with clearing salary for free agents than tanking for the draft. Unfortunately for Krause and the Bulls, that's when the individual max salary was put into the CBA. Krause's "multiple 'full-boat' free agents" became a solitary Ron Mercer. Thanks for reminding me, SST.
We may tank anyway while trying. If Hinrich goes down, James is our starting pg with Teague as the back up.
Seems to me there was a period where we went from 49 wins and 2nd round exit to 33, 41, and 41 wins. That 33 win team missed the playoffs and got to draft Derrick Rose in the summer.
