I wish Claver got some burn. I like what he brings.

I like Vic, but I'm not as enamored with him as some Blazer fans are. He's not especially good at any one thing.

    Translation:
    Paradoxes of life .

In previous years , Victor Claver had weight on their computers , including his first season with the Trail Blazers, and then finish on the bench with the Spanish.

This summer, finally , won a spot in the rotation of Spain , but what awaited days on his return to Portland is a nightmare .

After averaging more than 16 minutes, almost 4 points and 2 rebounds over his first year in the NBA , the most difficult because it involves a whole new suit basketball, this year has only played three regular season games , for a total sad four minutes : 1.3 on average.

Not a point to put in their mouth. Not even a shot to the hoop ... only one turnover to review the whole of the 2013-14 return .

The worst thing is that in the last four games of Blazers , seconds West with a record of 13-3 , the burgeoning Claver has not even sitting on the bench .

As he has learned TUBASKET.com , Valencian power forward 25 years and 2.05 m . we are thinking very seriously right back to Europe in view of the gloomy outlook . Not comfortable with his situation and he also believes that the franchise does not have him .

The problem is that he still has two years left on his contract and after waiting three years to cross the Atlantic, once elected in the first round in 2009 , Portland is not going to let out just like that.

The NBA is very rare that a player with a guaranteed contract , $ 1.3 million ( 964,000 euros ) this season , allow a street racing team , for looking forward to have.

    And in summer

Pretty much the same thing you hear about every player who thinks they deserve a shot but are getting no minutes what so ever.

Too bad Kahn's not still in Minny. I'm sure that he would want him.

Given it's late Nov in Oregon, Spain must sound pretty good about now. Basketball players want to play basketball. Victor lost his jump shot somehow and until he finds it, Stotts isn't going to stop winning games to get him on the court. He is a 3rd string stretch 3 on this roster. He's not as good as Wright or Batum.

Yup. Another sad story of Euro player that misses the lime light off being a big deal somewhere else. Some of it is due to the talent Portland currently has, and some of that is the need to take a page out of Freeland's book for foreign NBA players.

Claver would be awesome if he could hit the 3 consistently. Until he can he's a liability on the floor.

That's the thing with him. He can't even make layups! If he could hit at least hit his layups and mid range shots, he would be awesome. He has the BBIQ to be a stud, but lacks the ability to hit open shots. I don't think we need him to create, just defend, set picks, rebound and hit a few open jumpers.

Claver is a smart, heady, player with very good fundamentals. I love watching him play. He's just a wee bit overmatched athletically in the NBA. It would be cool if he could get on the same team with Rudy and Sergio. The Catalan Blazers!

He got PT last year on one of the all-time worst benches. The bench is now above average. Is it any wonder he's finding himself buried on the pines, much like Leonard?

Claver isn't playing because he can't rebound the basketball. I like the guy but this Blazers team just doesn't have any use for him. Even if a guy like Thomas Robinson got injured I doubt he'd get much playing time.

Re: Victor Claver is seriously thinking about returning to Europe as soon as possible

Although I agree he is not as good as Batum or Wright, how can he lose or find his jump shot without playing?

It is a numbers game and right now as you say he is third string. Good for us to have the depth. Bad for him.

Re: Victor Claver is seriously thinking about returning to Europe as soon as possible

This is just flat out wrong. You just pulled that out of thin air huh? Claver can rebound fine. The simple answer is this:

Claver is too small to defend 4s, not quick enough to defend 3s and he is not hitting the open jumper consistently enough to get rotation minutes. He is a tweener plain and simple. End of story.

The reason why Robinson and Freebird are stealing his minutes: They are real Power Forwards.
