...$24 Mil for a 2 pitch pitcher with an ERA near 5.00 over the last few years, who gives up a ton of HRs, and has not proven to be durable, and is essentially a #5 starter?

...the Twins don't have ANYONE on their farm who can't at least equal that?...really?

I figured he would have to settle for a one year deal and maybe do well and score big next offseason. Well, he was mainly a bust with the Yankees if you take away the 2009 season but I wish him well I just don't see it happening. Now on to the Yankees. They need a pitcher for the rotation so who will it be? They seem so focused on Beltran now I hope they are also kicking the tires of pitchers.

I heard a lot of comments by "Hot Stove" staff and guests on the shape of Minnesotas Staff and the alleged up and comers in their farm. Prior to signing Nolasco they were rumored to be after Bronson Arroyo. Hughes, I'd shudder with every start he made, thank God and Greyhound he's gone.

...anyone heard about whether they are making any progress working out a deal with the Japanese league concerning posting fees and signing their players?

Read this morning 59 that they were still talking and some speculation maybe this week they could work something out. Now that the holiday is over I think we could see movement with that and more player movement.

On a different not I am going on vacation on Dec. 4th so I will be cruising in the Bahamas and have no internet access so I will not be posting. Maybe when I come back I will read how they won the bid for Tanaka and signed Beltran and maybe Cano? So I will post for the next few days and then back in about 10 days.

They do but they charge a pretty penny for usage. Nothing is free on cruise ships....

Great time of the year to cruise the Bahamas. Are you leaving out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami?
