Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? When I say who/what, I mean it doesn't necessarily have to be a player (it is in most cases, but not all). Example, for Miami the X-Factor isn't necessarily a player, I would say it's health. That's just one example, but you get the idea. For the Celtics, I definitely have to say Al Jefferson. Big Al is our only real low-post scoring threat, and we need him to take a leap this year. Sure, Gomes gets the clean-up buckets and he can nail the 18 footer, but Big Al is the only player on the team with a good back to the basket game. He has finesse a soft touch, and also power (when he wants to use it). If Big Al can stay healthy and take a big jump on the court, that will be HUGE for this team. So, in your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season, and why?
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? For Rockets, Bonzi Wells- He will be the difference between having a reliable 3rd scoring option to T-Mac and Yao, or still searching for that missing link. A good series in playoffs from him will give ANY team in the West MAJOR trouble. Without him, Rockets would still be a clear notch lower than the rest. With him, they are right there as long as they stay healthy. For NJ, Nened Krstic- Only real inside presence offensively for Nets. if he could add a few post moves to that sweet midrange jumpshot, he will give NJ a huge boost and a consistent 3rd/4th option for scoring.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Marcus Camby, Hands down. When healthy he is one of the best centers in the league. He rebounds, Blocks a ton of shots, Scores when asked upon. When Camby has it going, the whole team has it going.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Samuel Dalembert and Andre Iguodala for the Sixers. If Dalembert can stay out of foul trouble, make good decisions, improve his basketball IQ and finally become our defensive anchor, then that will help us tremendously on the defensive side of the ball. Yeah, teams can penetrate on us, but if Dalembert can block and/or alter shots consistently without picking up fouls and/or goaltending, we'll be fine. He played great today against Barcelona... 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks. I'll be happy with 10, 10 and 2-3 from him during the season.Iguodala needs to be more aggressive offensively. Our offense was great last year with Iverson and Webber, but if we can get a CONSISTENT third-option on this team, and potentially a decent fourth-option, we'll be even better offensively. It's all up to Iguodala though...

Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Kwame Brown. When he's on scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds the Lakers will probably win 90 percent of the time.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Well, the Nets are lacking a great PF. Jason Collins can play good D, but we need a big man who can score and play D in the PF spot.

I think another X-Factor is chemistry, and this is something that ties in with Bonzi. Wells doesn't exactly have the best rep in the league, and while he can very hurtful to the other team, he can also be very harmful to his own team. And it's not only him. There are (I believe) ten new players coming on. Not all of them will stay, but that's a lot, and several of them will be getting a lot of minutes, in the starting lineup or off the bench. Yao and T-Mac's chemistry has always been A-OK, but with their role players it's a bit different. Thoughts of the beginning of the 04-05 season comes back. We might have won 60 games if not for the horrible start.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? For the Pistons it is definately Tayshaun Prince. If he has a successful season, the entire Pistons team will have a successful season. He has improved each year in the league and there is no reason why he won't again this year. He is becoming a good all around player, and his defense is also one of the best in the league.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? TJ Ford. If he can run the offense really well, then not just our ppg, but chemistry will go up. TJ Ford is our X-factor. He's the first pass-first pg that we've had in a while..
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Great Topic. As a Laker fan,I would say Lamar Odom starting off the season, the way he finished last year. Last season he averaged like 19 points 11 rebounds the last 25 games, and 20 and 10 in the playoffs against Shawn Marion. The key was the Lakers put him in the post a lot more, similair to how Miami used him 3 years ago.If Lamar can pick up where he left off,I see LA easily a over 50 win team. They were 45-37,yet lost a lot of close games early in the season.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? The bench.Again, depth will prevail. That's the reason we'll be back in the Finals next year.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Healthyness for the Rockets, if they can do that, they can do anything.
Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? Seattle.X-factor, Chris wilcox. - IF Chris Wilcox can become a solid PF and put up numbers like he did late last season, then the sonics can fight for a playoff spot. He was rebounding and giving them a legitimate threat up front. With a starting lineup like this C. Petro/SwiftPF. WilcoxSF. Rashard LewisSG Ray AllenPG RidnourThe Sonics could play a run and gun style. Wilcox is a very athletic big and he could really thrive in a fast paced system.

Re: In your opinion, who/what is your team's X-Factor this season? As a Maverick fan, I'll go with Devin Harris. If he becomes a regular starter at point guard and moving Jason Terry over to the 2, we'll see if he can control the game and tempo along with improving on his game. We'll see if he improves and proves that the playoffs was no fluke for him and that he really is an improving point guard in the NBA. Hopefully his jump shot will be much improved from last year. This has been really one of his only weaknesses. Not having that consistant meduim range jumper. If his play improves, I think Dallas is a lock as the number 1 seed in the West and also a shoe-in for the Western Conference Finals. I'm not saying that if he doesn't play well that they won't be able to be the number 1 seed or anything, just merely stating that they should be a lock if his play elalvates to new levels.
