Are you kidding me? It's AI. He is the better scorer of the two, and also the better pg. No debate here. Gil is the better long range shooter, but Ai can get to the hoop as easy as anyone, and he has a money mid-range shot. Not to mention, he is one of the quickest players in the League.
Really?Gilbert Arenas-Stats:29.6 ppg/2.01spg/6.1apgHe is very underrated. He brought his team to the playoffs while AI could not with his team. Arenas took over when needed to. Yeah Iverson is the better scorer, passer but last season he showed how bad he wants a ring. But still didnt put enough in it,but who could?Iggy is scared to drive. Arenas has a very similar team to AI. They both ahave 2 great scorers at th 4. Except Arenas starters are smaller than AI's. Iggy and Butler seem to be rising.
It's Allen Iverson hands down!Gilbert is one great player and is VERY underrated but were talking about Iverson here one of best in the NBA!Iverson is way above Gilbert so I am going to say Iverson.
Actually, talent wise, they aren't that far apart. Last season you could say GA was better, but I think AI is the better player due to how he has carried his teams in the past, the fact that he has done way more in his career, the fact that GA has been at this level only for one season in his career while AI has sustained it for more than a half a decade, and how he just spills his heart into the game makes me give him the nod. Not to mention how GA choked at the line when Bron psyched him out gives me a bad impression, while AI has been hitting game winners and carrying his team his whole career, and once to the NBA Finals.
last season? ai was better. but arenas is much younger, and arguably just as talented. I can see arenas haveing a better year than iverson this season. wouldn't surprise me anyways. arenas is very underrated.

This is for now, not the past. I am still going to go with my guy: AI. He is one of my favorite players in the league. He hustles more than anyone, he's pound for pound the toughest player I have ever seen step on a basketball court, his in-game passion level is off the charts, he's 6'0'' with shoes on and he's among the best scorers in the NBA (and has been ever since he stepped foot in Philly), he's easily the fastest player in the NBA, he has incredible ballhandling skills, he can really D up when he wants to, he's clutch, etc. I mean except for him missing some practices, I have zero complaints about Allen Iverson. But, Arenas blowing up and you could make a decent case for him (my friend did). Your take?
Wasn't their another topic on this a few days ago?Anyway... I'm taking AI as well. The only thing that would even make me think about picking Arenas is that he's younger than Allen, but other than that I'd pick Allen without a doubt. As you mentioned, he plays with tremendous heart, is unselfish (despite what many of you may think... watch him play and you'll see for yourself), clutch, and easily one of the best scorers in NBA history.Gil has been improving, and his game is similar to Iverson's in some ways, but until he proves to me he can do it on a big stage (instead of choking at the line after LeBron psyches him out), nothing would make me pick him over Iverson (assuming we are disregarding age).

You stick with your opinion and I'll stick with mine.</span>
Last year? Iverson why is this a question dang. AI had a career year at 30. He had a MVP year like 2 years ago, but last year there were like a bunch of guys who deserved a MVP more. But he had a better year last year then then 2 years ago when he finished 4th or 5th in MVP votes.Arenas I actually like he is very underrated. I see that he is very underrated now. Before I did not like him cause my freind likes Arenas and kept saying he is better then AI and I was sick and tired of Arenas. But I respect Arenas now, and think he is very underrated. I actually went to Washington Dec 26 Tuesday when they played Memphis it was great watching Arenas. But last year AI was better not sure why this was a question.
