link<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After Wallace signed with the Bulls as a free agent in July, Pistons coach Flip Saunders uttered some interesting and slightly bewildering comments.First, Saunders gushed about how much better off the Pistons will be on offense without Wallace, who always has been a defensive specialist. Detroit signed Chicago native Nazr Mohammed, whose career scoring average is 7.1 points, to replace Wallace.?The playbook was probably half of what it was because of that situation,? Saunders said. ?Now we will be able to have an offense where we can utilize everybody.?Saunders also seemed to suffer memory loss when he claimed Detroit will have a better chance of beating Miami in the playoffs without Wallace.?It?s a proven fact that if you want to beat Miami, you have to have a center who can score against (Shaquille O?Neal),? Saunders said. ?If you don?t, what happens is Shaq gets to rest so much on defense that he?s that much better on offense. We had to have a better inside presence offensively.?Saunders must have forgotten that Wallace?s Pistons beat O?Neal twice in the playoffs ? in the 2004 Finals against the Lakers and the 2005 Eastern Conference finals after O?Neal was traded to Miami.?I don?t pay no attention to that garbage,? Wallace said. ?We didn?t have an offensive center when we won the championship. How quickly people forget.?That?s their problem back there. I?m Chicago?s problem now, since I was such a big problem in the middle.?</div> What the hell is Flip talking about!?!?!It's almost as if he's trying to justify their error in letting Ben go with some ill thought out points. So in essence he's saying Det will have a better shot at toppling Miami with Nazr Mohammed as starting C instead of Ben Wallace? That makes no sense whatsoever. He'd be better off keeping his mouth shut before he lets loose some other zany revelations.

Ugh, you guys just like typical Bull fans trying to make something out of nothing. I don't know why but you guys want to renew that little rivalry between the Pistons so bad but Like Ben said last season it ain't a rivalry if one team always come out on top. And Flip statements are probaly true, now that Ben is gone no offense but the offense here will be way better. And now teams will be forced to guard all 5 guys on the court instead of defending 4 guys and playing 4-5. The Pistons maybe do have a better chance at beating Miami because with the type of one on one man to man defense Ben wants to play is probaly impossible to play against Miami with the way refs call games these days. Sheed said it best, Wade is pretty much a red shirt QB out there you can't touch, breathe, or even think about touching him. Ben didn't like the Zone and was gonna whine about that but now that Ben is gone Detroit will play a lot more zone. Ben was a great player for detroit and was a big part of the defense but our core players are still here and the defense won't just drop off totally detroit will still be a shutdown defense kind of team with a great offense. I think we have a better chance of beating Miami too.

Ben is some much BS he just needs to shutup and move on. Ben had issues with Carlisle and Brown too especially Carlisle. I don't know if this is the same article I read earlier but if it is and it has the BS on how he got along with all those coaches and withe besides Flip thats total BS. And the guy can't score or make dang freethrows, what was flip supposed to do just play 4 on 5? This guy has become too much of a whiner over these last few years and I'm starting to think the rumor of him being jealous over Chauncey Billups is true. When Stackhouse was here him and Ben didn't get along because they both had disagreements over "who's team it was". And now Chauncey comes in, along with Flip Saunders one of Chauncey's coaches and the team is becoming more of an offensive up tempo team like Chauncey wants Ben is getting jealous so now he wants to whine.

Why is Flip hating on Big Ben?I do agree with one thing, Nazr will give the Pistons more offence but they could never beat the Heat with Nazr instead of Big Ben. Thats BS!Scoring on Shaq is not gonna solve the problem to beating Miami. How about someone who can stop him?

Both of them are good for junk baskets/tips/easy dunks and thats it. Neither has any offensive moves. Det are way worse off with Nazr than Ben. Even this Pistons homer (not you the guy above) could see that.

Nazr's career average is 7pts per game, so hes not really an offensive player either. Wallace's average was 6pts per game so not much of an upgrade on the offensive side so im not sure why anyone would say nazr would provide a lot of inside scoring
