Of course, it always has been.

We're almost 1/4 way through the season and it's cool to monitor our playoff status at an early point, although Carmixabrockumlito would have you believe the first 20 aren't as important as the last 20.

I think the season start is huge for ultimate playoff position because it's easier to play with a lead, less pressure than trying to make up games in a tough conference.

I love that last week, a guy at RubeChat was convinced that the division race was still between Minnesota and OKC, that we were in for a hard fall. Meanwhile, Denver streaks past them!

Then I like the guy at Lakersground who listed the top 10 teams in the west and forgot to mention us.

    Brilliant.

After we beat the Zombie Sonics tonight, I'm popping some Champagne. Why wait to celebrate? :) I can always get more later after we win the conference, and the finals, and the ring. ;)

    That odds thing is interesting.

They say our best is better than Miami's best... even with the shitty east. lol.

Hollinger's Computer is not feeling OKC. We are listing as 50% more likely to make the finals than them.

Hmmm, what am I missing? Under the "Odds" section it shows them with a higher percentage chance in all categories.

    10.4% vs. 7.1%

Not exactly as disparate as you suggest. Plus, it's so early in the season that I'd wager about 60% of this ranking (all teams) gets significantly shuffled by the all-star break.

A team that is OVER .500 and has beat the best team in the west TWICE and is on the outside looking in right now. Crazy

    Update:

There are now TWO teams OVER .500, 3 teams at .500 or better and 5 teams within a game of .500 or better on the outside looking in in the Western Confernece. Simply amazing.

Meanwhile in the eastern conference ....

If we could trade Sacramento and Utah for Indiana and Miami, just for the lulz.
