<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Detroit News - Ben Wallace made it clear to Chris Sheridan of ESPN that he neither respected, nor liked Flip Saunders as his head coach."I have no relationship with him," he told ESPN."He's a coach, and I'm a player, and that's as far as it went. If you say your door is always open, and we can always talk about things, and you'll be willing to listen, and when I come to him and talk about something that's bothering me that I think is hurting the team, if you don't do anything to change it, then that's the last time I need to talk to you."</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/425...ds_fly_at_flip/You left the team, You need to leave it at that. Theres no reason to keep talking about anything.
I think it is because of Flip's comments towards him about how he was holding back Detroit's offense. Ben doesn't take crap from anyone (for example: ron artest).

Ben only said this because of what Flip said about him, as KCX mentioned.

I don't really like Flip Saunders that much. I'm on Big Ben's side on this one. I want Flip gone, but there aren't any good replacements out there right now.
Flip does look a little shaky at times, he didn't need to say all that trash about Ben - you know Ben was going to hear everything said about him, and that stuff only instigates a negative reply. This will most likely stop, but I don't like this bickering - it's very unprofessional and needs to stop.
Flip didn't say nothing, he just gave Nazr a compliment and said now we can open our playbook a little more. Everyone knows Ben can't score and everyone knows Detroit will be better off offensively now that Nazr is here. Ben is just mad because he didn't get what he wanted all the time so he whined as usual. When you haven't got along with the last 4 coaches you have to think its not just them. Ben says things with Rick and Larry was cool but it really wasn't, especially not with Carlisle. Ben is the one coming out with the I had no relationship with him, he was player and I was coach, he was the worst of all my coaches and all that BS.
If all Flip's intention was to compliment Nazr and not bash Ben, then there is no reason for Ben to come back at him like that. However if Flip was intentionally bashing Ben, then the retaliation was appropriate, either way both should shut their mouths and do their jobs for their own teams, leave the past in the past.
Ben needs to stay away from the Pistons organization. He is no longer a part of our team. he is only an opponent.
