I wouldn't say it was embarassing to get beat by the European champs, they are the Champions of Europe, the Clippers aren't even NBA Champs.
Nways, I dont know if yall have noticed, but Euro basketball is pretty good now so its not like getting beat by them 10yrs ago.

The TrailBlazers should be able to beat the Euro Champs.I doubt they were putting in maximum effort though. Maggette would have took over if the game really mattered.

It's a huge embarrassment. These European champs would be the worst or 2nd worst team in the NBA.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (austingriz76 @ Oct 7 2006, 03:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Nways, I dont know if yall have noticed, but Euro basketball is pretty good now so its not like getting beat by them 10yrs ago.</div>It is just as bad. The best Euro players come to the NBA. None of the NBA teams should be losing to them.
They probably werent even trying... I mean if it really counted, any NBA team would crush even the best euroleague team of any era.
The NBA should stop scheduling games between good Euro teams and sh*tty NBA teams. But, really, I doubt the Clips or the 76ers were even trying. Come on, you know AI could have dropped 60 on those fools.
How are the Clippers and 76ers "sh*tty" teams? The Clippers were the 6th seed in the West, and the 76ers were on the verge of making the playoffs.

Maybe not so much the 76ers, but definately the Clippers. And wait a minute, saying a team was on the verge of making the playoffs isn't the best defense for a team that you claim to not be sh*tty. As for the Clippers, even though they made the playoffs for like the first time in a million years, they still are the f*cking Clippers.

Did they have their best players playing? I understand if the 76ers lose but if the Clippers have Brand.. Mobley... Kaman.. and all those other guys howd they lose?
Because it is pre-season, and they dont really give a sh*t. Guys, you shouldnt really make a big deal out of this. No one cares about pre-season games.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>As for the Clippers, even though they made the playoffs for like the first time in a million years, they still are the f*cking Clippers.</div> That's not much of a good reason to label them a sucking balls team. The team is actually turning around by paying it's players and actually trying to win. So you can't use their past to lament the current team. Teams turn around, look at the Mavericks from the 90's to now. But I agree with CB4 on this one. It's pretty much given the European teams have something to prove in these games, while the NBA teams are basically going through the works and getting everyone on the same page. Their more into working out schemes/plays and establishing their starters from bench players then winning. Sam Cassell hardly played in this game I believe.

Come on! It's so easy to pick on them.
It's not really all that embarrassing, but Philly and the Clips were supposed to win. C'mon, fellas! You're in the NBA! :ranting: You're supposed to have talent.
