LOL @ this thread of hypocrites & homers.

The thoughts on here went from:

    1) Cano is just going to Seattle for a dinner to scare the Yankees, Seattle can't really offer him

    to

    2) Cano would never sign in Seattle

    to

    3) If he signs there and wants to play in the middle of nowhere good riddens!

    HAHAHAAH

    a) How many of you would turn down MILLIONS of dollars to get to spend basically 3 months of your life a year in NY v Seattle and of that time you are at work 1/2 of it?
    b) Seattle has an excellent 1-2 punch, much better than the Yankees 1-2 starters. They also have a good young SS & 3B. You think they'd invest in Cano and then stop adding? Hells to the no, they'd spend some more and "go for it". They could back it up with someone like Nelson Cruz and a legit # 3 SP and boom, contenders.

I personally think the Yankees will match, mainly because I dont think there is any way they can be dumb enough to pay Ellsbury and let Cano walk. Ellsbury has been an All Star once in his Major League career and that came on a roid rage season. Cano is a Hall of Famer.... Night and Day.

I still feel the Yankees will go 8 at 200. If not enough Cano has the ball in his court. It won't because the Yankees lost him. Seattle is trying to get even for us stealing Ellsbury from them..

While in Seattle being whined and dined by the Mariners, I would recommend Cano get the 24 ounce porterhouse at the Metropolitan Grill, or the pound of Alaskan King Crab legs at Chandlers. And then - get back on a plane to NYC, and get his shit together.

Just heard Tom Verducci say the Yankees are interested in Choo and if they got him would look to package a deal for Brandon Phillips including Brett Gardner who would be losing Choo to free agency.
