I count on Rose. Like transplant I recognize a super-duper-star is one of the keys to winning it all. A trusty all-star sidekick or 2 definitely increases the chances but you need your #1 and rest his soul and forgive me by #1 I don't mean my namesake. I do have my concerns about Rose's injury history but I had similar stomach butterflies about Deng and he's proven my wrong over time. My fear about Rose right now is not his ability to heal but based on his recent comments his unwillingness to alter or modify his game despite evidence that the mechanics of his explosive quickness and mobility have proven to be detrimental to the structural health of his knees two seasons in a row. The guy needs to learn a way and train in a way and execute in a way that plays to his talent, strength and agility in a way that isn't giong to blow out a knee once per season on the NBA level and the sooner he embraces that concept the easier I will sleep as a Bulls fan. To continue transplant's French theme.. Il pense qu'il est un dur à cuire. Il est impératif qu'il reconnaît la réalité de sa situation.
I don't miss Belinelli. I'm glad he's having a good year in SA but he's a marginal system player who's found a good spot for himself. You can sign guys like him every single year and him being here or not is nothing to be too concerned about.
It's 2 weeks later, roughly. He's up to 22 minutes, shooting .517 (it's gone up!) from the field, .536 from 3pt (what goes up, must come down?), 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and his scoring is up .2 to 9.6. His PER has fallen to 16.1. The Spurs are 19-5 in the very tough Western Conference. Dunleavy is up to 28.3 minutes, shooting .432, .387 from 3pt (wow, what a drop!), 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 10.6 points. His PER is up to 13.
