For a while now, all trade machine links just spin the loading trade wheel, and never show a trade for me. What are the 3 deals?

You'd think that ESPN would fix one of their more popular toys that people like to play around with.

    Bummer.
First is Lopez for Asik (straight, no chaser).
Second is Perkins for Asik (straight, no chaser).
Third is Rashard/Anthony and either Birdman or Oden/Mason Jr. for Asik (using James Jones contract to show that it should work).

Perkins is horrible. No way Houston does that one.
The Heat trades are also very underwhelming. I think they can do better. Not a LOT better, not lotto pick or All-Star better, but better none the less.

What would happen if Miami trades Bosh for Asik and parson? This actually seems like a win win for both sides.

At best I think he'll land a Thad Young-level player.

Lotto pick(s) and a young building block? GTFOH with that!

I'm not a huge fan of Bosh, but that's underselling him. Houston would have to give up much more.

Maybe Asik, Lin, Jones for Bosh. That MIGHT be enough.

While I agree with you, I think HOU will be lucky to get much more than cap relief for Asik. Yes, Perkins IS horrible...but would be an acceptable back-up for 10mpg. But if you're the Rockets, who are currently dealing with a supposed championship roster with chemistry issues, centering around a guy who's going to cost them $15M next year, who's a duplicate of your centerpiece, you're going to move that guy no matter what. Both OKC and MIA can sweeten the deal with picks/etc. I chose those two teams to illustrate how easily two current contenders could snap up a guy who would GREATLY help them in their quest to win a championship. I think it adds weight to the argument of US trading for him. If OKC or MIA can get the guy that makes it MUCH harder for us to be contenders. If we get him it MAY mess up chemistry, but it should improve our defense and it could deprive our main competition of a player they badly need.
As I said in my OP, I'm not sure that we should make the trade. But it certainly merits consideration.

Well of course Houston would do it, but would Miami? Bosh would be a perfect forward to put with Howard.

Miami would absolutely do that. Parson and Lin would make up for whatever points Bosh lost and asik would allow them to have a good series against Indiana.

Jones? No parsons... Figured you'd just use Parsons. And Houston would still do that. It would give them a legit "big three".

Exactly... Don't puss out and make deals off of fear. Dominate and force teams to make fearful trades to combat us

Found this on a Bulls forum.

An S2 meltdown would surely ensue.
