Just ridiculous shooting. I've never seen anything like it.

 

The hoop certainly seemed like an ocean for them tonight!

 

We also got the most 3 point makes in a game tonight as well

 

Damn! A full 2 percent. Yeah. Everytime I heard "for 3" I knew it was in. That was nuts.

And what did the Jazz do to counter it? Uhh...

 

To put it even better, We MADE 6 more three pointers than the Jazz attempted.

 

If Barton hadn't clanked that three, we would have finished over 77%.

 

It's the highest 3P% for a team that made over 15 threes in NBA history.

I wrote "15 attempts" but meant "15 made." I have now edited it.

 

Damn. We have one 50% 3 point shooter, two sitting at 40% and another off the bench shooting 38%. And they have a lot of attempts. I'm leery of us relying on the 3 point shot so much, but the way we get most of those shots with great ball movement is hard to argue with.

 

Oh! I think I know why... 1996 was when they brought in the three point line a foot, isn't it?

EDIT: Judging from Uncle Cliffy's 3pt attempts, it looks like 1994-95 was the first year they moved the line in, and they moved it back out after 1996-97.

Has Pelton adjusted his preseason prediction for the Blazers to reflect reality again?

 

I don't get this perception. Portland beat the Pacers without the 3 ball. The Blazers are taking what teams give them. They aren't relying on anything.

 

We are taking what the defense gives us... it's a cliche, but when a team buys into actually doing it, it looks amazing.
