Not strawman. A single team called out a conference. That single team is our favorite. So if our favorite got called out is a fair question
I really disagree. Since this tweet ended up on ESPN, realGM, here and elsewhere, I think it it safe to say most fans do care (to some extent)
we live in a world where fans now-a-days, have short attention spans. It's why when asked by younger fans why I still hate the Lakers (despite them not winning the title in the last few seasons, and being so-so this year), I go "2000. 1991. all of the 80's" and they look at me and go "why? That was a long time ago". In todays world, the memory is about 5 minutes. In 5 minutes, someone else will say something. Do you think the players (the only people who really can make a difference in the game) really care? And if they do, they're basically as smart as Ruben Patterson.
This is just crapbaldo fuel, as soon as they lose to an east team it will be "this was a big deal! See I told you!!1!" Then there will be a thread about his article that nobody will read
LOL So the new management trolls for hits. Anything to get noticed. What's next? Miley Cyrus doing the...umm...National Anthem?
Is barfo now running twitter for the Blazers? This sounds like something he would write, since it makes me laugh. Blazers are going full Ripcitytwo now.
The east is weak but... They have the NBA Champions and until someone knocks them off that platform, the east has the best team. As for the Tweet, I can't believe the owner endorses this or anyone in higher management would. Wouldn't be suprised if someone if whoever posted this was told to bring it down just a touch
My guess would be tweeting like that one time for fun and its gets national attention - ok. Repeated offenses - not ok.
I hope that Indiana or Miami feel the need to use this as motivation when we play them in the finals.
You mean kinda like people said yeah we played a soft schedule but gs, okc, ind, chi will surely beat us? And then we won them all.
You're throwing the majority of people into the minority that actually do. I am not naming names, but I know of only 2-3 people that actually would. The rest of us are just flippant about it.
