You mean like in the way Phoenix responded to our tweet, and how most here thought it was pretty funny?
I really don't see anything at all wrong with that tweet. I thought it was funny, and Phoenix reply was hilarious. I hope they continue trying stuff like this. It didn't insult any specific fan base or team, it just commented on what is obvious from looking at win/loss records. If these numbers hold eastern teams will be making the playoffs with only 37 wins while in the west it will take 45 wins. That's a huge difference.
Five pages of this "cocky" banter and no one has even mentioned that Luke Skywalker blew up the Death Star after being told "don't get cocky".
No one ever accused the A-Team of being cocky.
They just had an 11 game streak, correct me if I'm wrong, but at some point during that streak was at 10-0.
Heh. I did say 10-0, but I know pretty much it'll be 8-2. I just don't want to lose to Houston, and I just want to win against Miami! So sue me. lol.
If we go 9-1 or 10-0 the next 10, then yeah, I could see it. Especially if we beat the Heat. Then the waiting game is on for that thread.
We are going to lose games. It will happen. I will be psyched if we finish top four. I want HCA very badly. If we end up winning 55ish games, I will be one happy fan.
I predicted 55 I think. Is be happy there too, but they exceeded by expectations so far, we will win 58-60 games this year.
I had 44 but upped our wins by fifteen, so now I'm looking for 59 wins. That means the Blazers will still lose 20 more times.
As long as the losses aren't streaks. It would be nice to only lose once in a while and I'm fine with that. Every team loses once in a while, it's just how you lose that separates the contenders from the pretenders.
The issue is that it's getting national attention. In the end, the the tweet turns into black board material. And the Blazer organization who has spent the majority of their recent years in the lottery has suddenly has a big head due to a quick start. I hope they don't fall on their behind. What's wrong with being humble?
