I think this is for the best unless they are willing to take a smaller package of Leonard, Freeland, Barton and picks. The Blazers need to get CJ back, take time to evaluate the roster with him and then make a decison on the team.
I just wonder what Mo's going to think of a rookie stepping and taking his minutes? Or is he? Where does CJ get the time? He's not taking it from Lillard and I doubt he's taking any away from Mathews.
Well everyone talks about how chemistry is so important, the Blazers are hot so why do you take a chance on ruining it just to bring a rookie in the rotation? You know I hate to break it to you but CJ is no more of a PG than Mo is.
BGD logic... Let CJ rot on the bench because you don't want to mess with the chemistry. Let's make a trade instead.
CJ is more of a shooting guard than Mo is, which is the role that Mo is essentially playing right now.
Not really. Mo is playing point even when Dame is in the game. Stotts should just play Dame more at the point when both are in the game. Mo can run point by himself when Dame is not in there.
That defeats the entire "point" of having them in the game at the same time. Lillard is a superior catch and shoot guy to Mo. They play together like that for increased offense.
Well the Rockets have approximately 10 days to trade Asik. Perhaps when the Rockets lower there expectations on a trade Portland will get back in the mix.
If he calls us soccer moms in yoga pants (and that we deserve to wear them), then yes, it's a compliment.
As others have said: I'm glad Portland isn't interested in Asik at that price. In fact, I'm not sure we should be enthusiastic about getting him at any price. He's 27 years old and has only had one year where he's been an NBA starting center. While there's no shame in backing up Howard, if Asik were a good starting center, Houston might not have been so eager to replace him. Lopez is younger, a better free throw shooter, a slightly better shot blocker and has a better contract, to boot... the only thing Asik does better is defebsuve rebound, and that is something that the rest of the team can cover him on. Ed O.
Omer Asik switches agents Disgruntled, and frustrated by the lack of movement by the Rockets, Omer Asik changed agents from Andy Miller (Durant, Ibaka, Garnet, Ilyasova, Hickson, Andre Miller, Crawford… 29 players in total) to Arn Tellem (LaMarcus Aldridge, Gasol brothers, Lopez brothers, Horford, A. Davis, Rose… 44 players in total). I guess the hope is not just to get the ball rolling, but to filter and control the message about any information or rumors released on Asik’s behalf. Asik is definitely and definitively done with Houston. It sounds like he’s more upset about broken promises than he is about his future role on another team. The guy is making $25 mil over three years and he’s butt hurt playing back up to Howard. Give me a break. What a diva.
