Amazing. Wolves only 6.5 games ahead of Utah. Meanwhile, we are 8 games ahead of Minnesota. Feels great!
They're lucky they didn't give up Williams as part of a package to get Batum. With their depth and youth they've dominated this year and Batum would have gummed up the works. They proved their fans right that once they got healthy they were going to steamroll the NBA. Ed O.
We knew the Jazz had a fire sell during the summer, but they did end up a head of us last year. For us to have a 15 game lead in the lost column after just 23 games.....that is amazing as well. That is one good thing about sports, teams can go up or go down in a hurry.
I feel sorry for Kahn. If not for injuries, he'd be highly valued. And Martell Webster. What a waste, after Kahn snookered us with Babbitt. Webster and Kahn would have been looking down their noses at us now if not for injuries.
Webster is playing nearly flawless basketball this season and is ranked 30th in the Yahoo fantasy league. He has played in 19 games for the Wizards who are 9-11.
Think about it. The Wolves ARE healthy. Their team is more loaded this year than last years (and healthy). Obviously Ed O is being sarcastic.
I'm with Edo, those wolves are licking their chops, not their wounds. Although I think they devoured most of their recent draft picks, can't locate many on their roster
I really did think Minny would be better. Their problem is that they have the worst team fg% AND the worst defensive fg% AND third worst 3 point % in the league (over the past ten games). On the plus side, they're not bad at FTs and they get steals (thanks, Ricky!). I guess, ONCE AGAIN, Kevin Martin has not proved to be the answer for a team. When Larry Sanders comes back maybe they should look to trading Pekovic for him. I don't think the Pekovic/Love pairing is good for either of them. Meanwhile, although Sanders was a feel-good story for the Bucks last year, he kind of ruined that this year, and with Henson and Udoh the Bucks players with similar skill sets, but nobody like Pekovic. Meanwhile Denver is on a roll...
