I'm not putting these in any order, this is including inside linebackers and outside linebackers.BCB's Top 10 LB's Shawn Merriman 6'4" 275 - Before the draft last season, before he was picked I said this guy would be the best linebacker in the draft while people went head over heels for DeMarcus Ware. I also predicted he would be a top 10 outside linebacker which has already come true. He's probably the best outside linebacker in football and is gaining ground with Urlacher, Wilson and Lewis. The guy is gigantic, he's versatile and he plays the game as hard as anyone I'VE EVER SEEN, if only more players played as hard as he does. He's explosive, has a quick first step and tackles and hits violently. Brian Urlacher 6'4" 260 - He's the best inside linebacker in football. He's huge, he's quick, he's strong and he's a ballhawk. Is as explosive a linebacker their is. Since Lovie Smith came to Chicago Urlachers play has been much improved which says something. Al Wilson 6'0" 240 - He's right behind Urlacher in my opinion and is the best linebacker most people have never even heard of. He plays the game with unbelieveable passion and energy. He's very quick and smart, and a great tackler.Ray Lewis 6'1" 245- He's still an elite player, people say he's lost a step but losing a step or not, he's still an amazing player. He has a big effect on the entire defense and gets everyone buzzing. I'm sure you have all seen his dancing and pre-game speeches. A great leader. Mike Peterson 6'1" 230 - Another guy most people don't know about. He's the leader of Jacksonville's defense, plays sideline to sideline and is always all over the field. He's a tackling machineJoey Porter 6'3" 250 - He's just tough and intimidating. He's always jabbering with other players and getting in peoples faces. He's underrated in pass coverage and loves to hit the QB. As good an outside linebacker as you will find.Lance Briggs 6'1" 250 - He's a great athlete, has great speed and doesn't waste motion on the field. He gets help from the system he's in but he's still a VERY good young talent. He's hits the opponent as hard as he can and knows where to be.Keith Bulluck 6'3" 240 - Another guy most guys don't know about. He's a great athlete and he's built like a truck. He's great at getting to the QB and blitzing. Underrated because he plays for the Titans.Jonathan Vilma 6'1" 230 - He's a fast tackling machine who is a popular player around the league because of his talent. He's a great tackler and plays solid against the run, could eventually be the best MLB in the NFL. Odell Thurman 6'0" 235- He's had a ton of trouble this season but his talent is undenaible. He's big, strong and fast, he's the complete package and if he stays on the right track will be one of the leagues best. It's too bad he's probably doomed with his off the field problems.

I scrolled down, and almost panicked when I saw that BCB forgot Lance Briggs. It seems like a fair list, nice job.

I'm really content with BCB's list. I have no complaints about it and pretty much agree with it. I wouldnt make any adjustments to it. The list looks great.

No Tedy Bruschi? Seems like the whole Pats team screams underrated. He's probably one of the top 5 tacklers in the league, and undeniably up there as one of the best defensive leaders with Ray Lewis. It also seems like every time he touches the ball he puts it in the end zone as well. Plus, how he came back from the stroke and still plays at the high level that he does, it's a great story. Top 10 -- In no orderRay LewisTedy BruschiBrian UrlacherJoey Porter Shawn MerrimanZach ThomasJonathan VilmaAl WilsonMike PetersonLance Briggs

You talk all about the Eagles too, so why do I get bashed for talking about the Pats. Seriously. As long as I'm not making wolverine30 style one line posts and I present facts and sh*t theres no problem at all talking about the Patriots. If your team was in the situation ours was as well you'd probably talk all about them as well. And who the F*ck are you to say I don't watch those guys? Seriously. Grow the F*ck up. I watch just as much football as anyone else. You'll learn in life that you'll get nowhere accusing people of doing things that you don't even know if they're true or not. You're young, you've still got time to grow.

Peterson's out for the rest of the year, so the Jags have a hole in the middle of their lineup.

Yeah, I watched him play and he was great out there. Put him over Andra Davis (even though Andre's a tackle beast), and put in Keith Bullucks instead of Chris Hope..

BCB has a great list. Just for a Lions comment, look for Ernie Sims to jump onto those lists in about 3-4 years.

Yeah, Ernie Sims will be great in the future. Maybe he will win Rookie DPOY this season. He has made alot of tackles, and is a hard hitter.
